Bill from NYC Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 He's signed until the end of 2007, so what you're seeing is the amortized bonus from 2007 being added/accelerated into next year (2006) as dead cap money, if he's cut. 594787 I think I have it figured out. His bonus was SO huge, that it eats up some of the inflated salary. This ranks as one of the top 5 dumbest contract signings that I have ever seen as a Bills fan. TD was usually pretty good with salary cap issues, and I am surprised that he wasted this kind of money on Moulds.
clumping platelets Posted February 5, 2006 Author Posted February 5, 2006 Clumpy, I don't understand why the entire salary of Moulds doesn't seem to come off if he is cut. If his salary is more than 6 mil., why would there only 4 plus mil. in cap savings? One would think that the entire salary would come off the total. I understand that the bonus does get accelerated, but that would seem to be a seperate issue. Could you (or someone else) clarify this for me? Thanks. 594772 There is no more June 1st rule because of the uncapped yr in 2007.....thus, ALL future proration accelerates onto 2006 cap regardless of time of release or trade
