scribo
This guy has something like a point. Erie County has no greater asset than the Buffalo Bills. No local organization generates as much national publicity as our beloved Bills. Henceforth, we demand that they be known as the Buffalo-Niagara Bills. While you're at it, toss a waterfall behind that charging buffalo on the team's helmets. The Niagara Falls Reporter

Live&DieBillsFootball
Good idea. Then Niagara County could pitch in for half of the costs of stadium improvements, security, traffic control, etc.
zonabb
Same paper said sometime ago that Erie County and its municipalities shouldn't share in low cost electric from the power authority site in Lewiston? Not sure if this story, since I didn't open the link, was a resident letter to the paper or from a reporter. So if this is from a reporter or editorial, what a hypocritical stance, although not suprising coming from the media. Morons... every last one of them who writes for the media. Before this thread spirals off in the wrong direction let me say that it is satire. I was attempting to point out just how ridiculous all of this squabbling is over the Buffalo-Niagara branding gold rush over the early years of this century. And maybe give people a few laughs in the process. Yeah, we're all morons in the media, that's why I hang out here with the smart people.

30dive
We have become a testy lot as of late. Yesterday, people were ready to hang the BNews because of the "steak" column and now theNiagara Gazett because of the "falls" column. Relax folks!!! Sarcasm is healthy. Spun
The article is ridicule of the Al Sharpton type of mentality of "where's ours?" If we can't recognize the sarcasm then literacy services are in order. The bottom line is that New York State is about to lose it's place as the most populous state in the eastern U.S. to Florida. Taxes keep going up and business and people keep going out. The brain is draining and I'm not sure how much is left. Basic education, parks and libraries are being chopped. The people of New York are not in gear. Finding ways to be less of a cause for out of control taxes is a smart way to go but by listening to some New York State leaders (including those of the two major political parties), you wouldn't know it. New York State isn't a bad place to live but serious changes need to take place especially among those that live there. And they will remain the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres please and thank you. Good night now.

The Reporter is a real piece of work (and I mean that in a good way). As someone else pointed out, sometimes satire (and sarcasm) doesn't get picked up real quick around here. Of course, the same goes for Pine Avenue...no? Say "Yo" to the Dells and Maria and Steve at Players from Brian Fiori, if you get the chance. Or just have Stabba do it. And their solution to this problem is to investigate it by creating a "special commission" and a "public authority" in order to perform these duties. During my last stint in the Falls, I lived "undercover". To most i was just the guy who bartended at the Casino and Players (they knew nothing of my life in televison).
