jester43 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 finally, he's really gone. this is a great way to start the week.
eball Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I guess Jerry's plan of becoming a HC in five years didn't quite work out. Four seasons after becoming a DC, he has now moved, err, "up" to defensive backs coach. I doubt I'm alone in saying "whew" -- we're finally rid of all those Houston Oiler losers and choke artists.
Nanker Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 So he finally executed his last zone blitz and made it all the way to his daddy Grego. No surprise there. Good riddance to bad rubbish!
BillnutinHouston Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Just like water, he sought his level.
JAMIEBUF12 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 AND TWO WEEKS AGO WHEN POSTERS WERE SAYING THE ONLY WAY JERRY WOULD GET A JOB WOULD BE TO BEG GREGGIE 4 ONE!!!! funny how there is always truth in jokes
smokinandjokin Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 It's about time. Now with both coordinators out of here, we can begin the process of running the next two guys out of town.
Rubes Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I'm sure he realized that it was the only way he'd get another DC job. Once Gibbs retires and Gregggggg-o takes over, Gray will be back in the DC driver's seat. Only this time, he'll probably be able to ride Gregggggg-o's coattails to a head coaching spot to some desperate team.
FeelThePede Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I wish Jerry Gray luck in his future career. Just didn't work out too well here, even though we had the top D for two years. But part of that credit has to be given to Dick Lebeau.
nobody Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Though I won't be suprised to learn that he is making twice his Bills salary.
Fan in San Diego Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I wish Jerry Gray luck in his future career. Just didn't work out too well here, even though we had the top D for two years. But part of that credit has to be given to Dick Lebeau. 588046 Part of the credit ? I would say a lot of the credit goes to Lebeau. Jerry was a caretaker of the defense. When offenses figured it out, he couldn't adjust or tweak the scheme.
SACTOBILLSFAN Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Only this time, he'll probably be able to ride Gregggggg-o's coattails to a head coaching spot to some desperate team. 588040 that desparate team may be residing in western NY when old-gibbs retires.
Steven in MD Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Is it me, did a lot of coaches get "demotions" this off season?
Orton's Arm Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Part of the credit ? I would say a lot of the credit goes to Lebeau. Jerry was a caretaker of the defense. When offenses figured it out, he couldn't adjust or tweak the scheme. 588060 I don't know that I agree with you. Compare how well Buffalo's defense did this year, to how well Pittsburgh's defense has done. Well . . . nevermind.
seq004 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Jerry never could overcome the obvious...getting burned by Andre Reed for 3 touchdowns in "The Comeback."
