In space no one can hear Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 This town will never be the same....

stevewin Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Is that the absolute nicest way of saying you're fired? 583392 Well - it could have said "has been informed nicely that he is free to seek another coaching job elsewhere"
ACor58 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Can you remember anyones stock dropping so fast? Last year they were predicting him as the next hot Head Coaching candidate.

Is he fired or not? Is our new DC on one of the Super Bowl teams and they don't want to anounce it ? How do you hire a new D-line coach when you are firing your DC? Did the new DC ok the new D-line Coach? Is the New DC the Linebacker coach from Pittsburg? Help me someone please this is a strange way to do things?
stevewin Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Can you remember anyones stock dropping so fast? Last year they were predicting him as the next hot Head Coaching candidate. 583397 Things can change very quickly. Remember last year when some were nervously worrying that Tom Clements might get the ND HC job and leave
John in VA Beach Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Isn't this the same thing that was reported a while ago? Maybe Gray didn't take the hint the first time so the Bills told him again, "You know Jerr, you reeaalllyy might want to take a look at other opportunities".
The Dean Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 This is nothing new. Gray has been free to seek another job for weeks now (he's been interviewing).
Fixxxer Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 "Much too learn, he still has" Good luck Jerry.
eball Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Isn't this the same thing that was reported a while ago? Maybe Gray didn't take the hint the first time so the Bills told him again, "You know Jerr, you reeaalllyy might want to take a look at other opportunities". 583425 LOL Is this like the episode of Seinfeld where "Play Time" can't fire George but they do everything possible to try to make him quit? "Umm, Jerr, we've moved your office."

"Umm, Jerr, we've moved your office." 583436 outside...to the middle of the practice field...in January.
1gap2gap Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 "Much too learn, he still has" Good luck Jerry. 583432 No not much to learn, much to question! This is an old story recycled because the news doesn't bother to ask the right questions. Why did the News not ask a simple question? Is this hire with Jerry Gray's knowlege or the New DC's blessing or is this a new hire by the new HC with out Jerry Grays imput? That question of course would open the door up to a ton of follow up questions. This is a garbage report.
crazyDingo Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 He should join Gregg Williams' or Dick Lebeau's staff again to look smarter.
tennesseeboy Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 "Jerry, you are free to seek another coaching job elsewhere. We're doing our best to help you in your endeavor, cleaning out your office, shutting off your phone, and we've gotten your laptop and taken the cell phone so that people in the organization won't be in your way. Kind of an incentive for you and so that we don't give potential employers the idea that we'll counter offer is the fact that we've taken your parking spot. Just as a contingency plan for when you get that job we've begun interviewing other DC candidates. Best wishes, Jerry, and we're certain you'll do just fine."
