I saw an interview with Tom Selleck and he talked about doing a movie. He said that the movie would be about Magnum today, not where the show left off. It did sound interesting.

Did you know he turned down the role of Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark in order to stay on Magnum PI?

I think this last sentence is open for validation.

Features versions of such TV staples as "Charlie's Angels," "Dukes of Hazzard" and "Starsky and Hutch" have done well at the box office in recent years.

Dukes of Hazzard did well at the box office? Where? In South Carolina?

No surprise there. Selleck is known as a man who honors his word.

He didn't turn down the role. CBS wouldn't let him out of his contract. He wanted to be Indy, tested for it and was pissed at CBS for not letting him go.

Thank the movie gods that CBS held him to his contract though, could you honestly imagine him in that role over Ford?

If a man and a woman get a divorce in South Carolina...are they still brother and sister?

What has 36 legs and 14 teeth? The University of South Carolina cheerleading squad.

Thanks. He is an honorable man, though. And yep - Ford's tongue-in-cheek style was a perfect fit.
