apuszczalowski Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I think we need a post when the new head coach is hired as to who is for the decission and who isn't. Then next year at this time dig it up again and see if anyones opinions have changed. No one knows how the new coach is going to do along with Marv. Everyone is already saying he is too old to do the job, well lets see who is right. If we start it after a new coach is hired, we can see next year who changes their mind after actually seeing the coach and GM do their job instead of going off of the past. Who thinks this is a good idea?

Are there any 'home editions' of this game as consolation gifts?
apuszczalowski Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 No prizes, no contestant interviews, I guess just a look back to see if you were right or wrong after atleast seeing what the coach and GM could do. (I guess I shouldn't have used the word game in the title) Although I am interested in the girl in the gown. How can we incorporate that into the thread?

I like the idea. I'll go first. I think Marv and DJ will put their heads together and improve our D personnel and philosophy. This should improve our 2006 D. Don't know if Jauron's bringing in his own ST coach, but if he does, I hope he's not too egotistical to consider staying with much of what April's done. It's the O that worries me most. There are obvious personnel needs -OL and TE - that can be addressed through the draft and FA, but first DJ, his OC, and Marv have to set a direction. Unless the OC is sharp beyond his experience, I don't expect much more than a conservative, vanilla O. Now if we have a better OL, a plan, and the commitment to stay with it, that won't be so bad. As far as the gown girl goes, better start collecting resumes.
apuszczalowski Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 Marv as GM - I like the move cause he is a very intellegent guy who knows football. Like most GM's, he will make a couple good free agent signiong and will lose out on a couple. Jauron as HC - I don't think it is the best move, but certainly could have been worse. He is a Defensive guy so I see our D improving to around where it was last year. I think with him and Marv being friends, they should be able to work together well and Marv may be able to teach mentor him a bit while Jauron can help him get the personnel that they require. Co-ordinators (I will edit this post when they are hired)
Guest BackInDaDay Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I'm bumping this post because it may give some of you the chance to express some positive expectations. Of course there'll be negatives, but think about your answers - it's a little tougher without knowing the coordinators yet - and post where you think Wilson/Levy/Jauron can take us. apuszczalowski (did I miss a "z" in there?) had I nice idea and it dropped off the charts. All you guys pre-occupied by the female menstruation cycle - here's your chance. Do it. Do it.
