LabattBlue Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 ...no this is not a MM bashing. If I had my pick, I'd take Jeff Fisher. It's more than just the success he has had. I like the way he handles himself & I like the fire he shows on the sidelines.
Rico Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Joe Gibbs... I respect Tuna, but don't really like him.
YOOOOOO Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Holmgren He was taking a pounding for those lousy first few years in Seattle....now he has one of the top teams in the NFC... Also like Gruden
Realist Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 There are several I'd like to have as a coach like Bellichek, how could you not want him as your coach after his record, even though I can't stand him. I do like Jeff Fisher, though. Through good times and bad he's had his team up there.
KOKBILLS Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 John Fox... Others are more proven, but I'll take Fox anyday... B)
ROCCEO Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Tough one, although it may be a different answer than "who is the best" head coach question, and in my case it is. Coaches for the most part cannot be hated just because they coach a hated team unless they do so with gratuitous success(ie: Belichick, Parcells) and they cannot be loved just for coaching your favorite team because you may end up hating the same coach tommorrow. With that said I'd probobly say HERM Edwards To his credit: 1-Former Player 2-Straight Shooter, if I played for this guy I would never dog it because you knjow he might call you out at anytime. Just doesn't seem to tolerate complacency. 3-UCR-Unintentional Comedy up the wazoo.
Buftex Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 It's gotta be Belechik! If he was younger, I would say Parcells. There are a couple of other good ones out there, but to me, those guys are heads and shoulders above the rest....much as I hate to say it.....
ROCCEO Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Andy Ried hands down 42176 I hate that guy bc my old roommate is an Eagles fan.
BigdaddyinOrlando Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Jeff Fisher Marvin Lewis( oh too only go back in time!)
shadowdog69 Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Without a question.........Gruden. Tampa is living proof that u need players to win football games and NO coach can win it for them.
millbank Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Brian Billick ---- interesting Herman Edwards ---- Is learning as will be a good coach one day, very straight forward , real Mike Singleterry ----- am interested to see how he will make out when he gets head coach position i think he will be great coach...
BILLS4LIFE Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Always has and always will be Jon Gruden...I like his attitude. B)
Buftex Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Mike Tice 42020 I swear, I get the feeling that Mike Tice is the second coming of Wayne Fontes...

What gives, what is there to dislike about the guy. I think he is fairly non-descript, says very little, and comes up with great game plans. Crap, I think I am becoming a closet Pats fan!
