Poeticlaw Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 In reasearching the only winning season of Jaurons tenure in Chicago I came up with this TEAM W/L TEAM STANDINGS BAL L 10-6 ATL W 5-11 ARI W 7-9 CIN W 7-9 SF W 6 -10 CL W 7- 9 GB L 12-4 TB W 9-7 MIN W 5-11 DET W 2-14 GB L 12-4 TB W 9-7 WAS W 8-8 DET W 2-14 JAX W 6-10 PLAYOFF PHI L 11-5 THE ONLY TEAM HE BEAT WITH A WINNING RECORD WAS TAMPA BAY 2 TIMES. However, in his best and only winning season Mike Shermans packers beat them twice. Just thought I would point out another reason Jauron shouldnt be the guy out side of hin going 1-4 as an interim coach with the lions. He has loser written all over him!!!!!!!! I personally couldnt stand being in the bottom of our divison for the next 3 years either.
Shamrock Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Would it be better to have done an analysis for Jauron's W-L record progressively? Such as week 4, the Bungles may have been, say 3-0 but ended the season at 7-9, therefore it may have been a good win..but i get your point...I'd rather go into Battle with a Sherman on my side, rather than a Dick...

That defense was outstandning due to the fact that they had two amazing tackles that year to stop the run, Ted Washington and Keith Traylor. People could not run against them up the middle. And I mean no one. Brian Urlachar had an excellent season playing behind those two studs. However Green Bay did beat them twice that season. But the move that made Jauron was the quarterback switch from Shane Mathews to Jim Miller. That was a smart move. It turned their season around.

You make an excellent point. In addiiton, Sherman is 7 and 1 against Jauron life time.
