Nick in RaChaCha Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 One week ago Mera, who will turn 2 next week, complained to her parents that her neck hurt. The took her to the doctor who thought it might have been a muscle pull (she had a bad cough) but being cautious the doctor thought there was a chance of an inner ear infection so he gave her antibiotics. 4 days later Mera was having trouble walking… the doctor ordered a complete series of tests. And they found a tumor near her brainstem the doctors are waiting for a MRI or CT before they operate. If she survives the doctors says there is an 80% chance that she will suffer developmentally. ( I’m having trouble typing this next sentence… But I want everyone to send there prayers) She is not expected to survive the night. My wife and my sister-in-law are there at the hospital. The rest of the family is on the way. I’m home with my 2 year old. I wish I could do more… I’m going upstairs and wake my baby up and give her a hug. Please send all your prayers.

NCDAWG Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Should never happen to kids. My prayers are with her and her family.
Hawk Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 My prayers to you and your family. I know of your pain, in the last 2 years, I lost a daughter to a similar malady, a 19 day old nephew to a incompetent surgeons knife, and my brother-in-law(who was like my brother) to a tragic accident the day after christmas. We all have many crosses to bear, some larger at times. But we must carry on, and hold each other tight. "And Jesus said: "Pick up your crosses, and follow me."
