Lori Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 As Tom Donahoe would say, "What's the question?" 574892 And yet, Donahoe changed his mind about that subject once he got to Buffalo....
Rubes Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 dickleyjones is right. Use VLC for coded mpgs on a mac. Worked fine on mine. Oh, and F you, ESPN.
drnykterstein Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 it worked fine for me, and thanks, i would have never seen that if you didn't out it up, seeing as how i never watch tv and all.
Moose Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 for opening video files on a mac, use VLC. it opens pretty much everything. 575010 Thanks - VLC did work! I had never heard of it before... so I appreciate the tip.
Gavin in Va Beach Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I saved target to my hard drive using IE and it played fine with WMP 10. but I don't think I like that commercial... 574871 Thanks for the tip. I tried that and it played just fine. Love the commercial bro. It doesn't matter what they're saying, it's better to be talked about then not talked about at all. It's stuff like that commercial that will keep the Bills in Buffalo. How could the NFL allow such a storied franchise to move? Just my opinion but I'm crazy so take it for what it's worth...
1billsfan Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Thanks - VLC did work! I had never heard of it before... so I appreciate the tip. 575076 I've got a mac...what's VLC? Never heard of it before.
Nanker Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I've got a mac...what's VLC? Never heard of it before. 575098 Have you HEARD of Google? Be bold and ask it to find you "vlc for mac" See what it gets you.
1billsfan Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Have you HEARD of Google? Be bold and ask it to find you "vlc for mac" See what it gets you. 575105 Yeah I've heard of google. Do you know what a middle finger turned up means?
Peter Griffin Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I think it's a CODEC problem. In other words, if it doesn't play, you don't have the proper CODEC installed. Me and my buddy at work have almost the same setup - I can view it and he can't. I did a properties on the file from within Windows Media Player (v 10) and it can back with "Ligos MPEG Audio Decoder " I did a quick google search and found a site with that might enable playing the file http://www.free-codecs.com/download/ACE_Mega_CoDecS_Pack.htm
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 when I clicked the original links, I couldn't find the file. I'd like it, since I've never seen it.
Moose Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 when I clicked the original links, I couldn't find the file. I'd like it, since I've never seen it. 575169 You have to scroll way down to an updated link, as the others are expired. Here's the updated link for you, on a silver platter!
Nanker Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Yeah I've heard of google. Do you know what a middle finger turned up means? 575113 Google is the 1st place you think of when you're looking for answers?
rockpile Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I saved the file. I used to get pissed when I first saw it on ESPN, but after I saw it a few times, I realized that I have LIVED that many times. It really captures the roller coaster Bills; it's not a cheap shot.
TheMadCap Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Thanks - VLC did work! I had never heard of it before... so I appreciate the tip. 575076 Glad you got it fixed...
Campy Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 How could the NFL allow such a storied franchise to move? 575080 Baltimore and Cleveland's teams were a bit more "storied" than Bflo's. But you asked "how." That's an easy one: $$$
Catholic Guilt Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 How many times I've lived that commercial...
Tarrytown Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 I'm sure that someone has posted about this already...but I saw the commercial on ESPN that is of our sad little football team...making a big play to win the game only to have the refs rule against us. It really made my day...made me laugh out loud because someone in Bristol might actually understand our pain. It's really what being a fan of the Bills is all about - heartache and heartbreak. Maybe one day...maybe. Until then I sit here waiting patiently as MV and RW chose a headcoach. We'll probably learn who the poor fool is right after all the quality coordinators are gone.
ans4e64 Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 when i was home for break i first saw it and thought it was funny, then i went back to philly and realized that the whole country is laughing at us, and now i hate it, why is nobody in buffalo talking about this?
