This society is always looking to get rich quick.  Doesn't seem to matter who is in the way, who it affects, or what it takes.  Just so sad!

My gut tells me to believe this guy. Reminds me of Clinton Portis mother being escorted to the field because she had a beverage"thrown on her" at Phily, and the announcers all lept at that. But, Paul Harvey moment here, the beverage was thrown only after the Portis party was being a bunch of drunken idiots and momma portis poked some lady in the mug, was being escorted out of the stadium , and then security was alerted to who it was.

Some of these family members go into visiting arenas and act like idiots, and then get upset when nature takes its course.

What's to believe? Davis didn't lay a finger on the guy. He should be sued for filing a bogus lawsuit.

Exactly. He didn't even do anything. Didn't mention any names or point anyone out. This case better be thrown out. What BS.

I went to the game last night between the Bulls and the Knicks. I think Antonio Davis did the right thing by protecting his family. However, I could be wrong; I didn't necessarily see it because 2 minutes earlier there was a scuffle/shoving match between a player on the Bulls and Knicks. Overlooked however was the match between these two teams. Very good game last night with Ben Gordon hitting the game winning shot at the buzzer in overtime.

Of all the athletes I met (and it was a lot) while valet parking in Atlanta in graduate school, Antonio Davis was the most down to Earth and approachable of the lot. There were a lot of jerks (Shannon Sharpe for one). I was surprised when I heard this this morning on the radio, but then wasn't surprised to hear he didn't actually do anything. Take that for what it's worth.

Dude was called a drunken lout by Antonio Davis, every body from the coaches on down said Antonio did the right thing protecting his family from the threat he posed, accused of hitting a woman, and that his actions were that of a general scumbag. All of this playing out not only on and in the CHI. media, but nationally. And oh BTW, the old man is a public figure, as well as his son(the drunken lout)

NOW, we know the dude was NOT drinking, Kendra Davis is pretty much accepted to be the aggresor, she is the one who hit him, and everybody around him agrees to his version of the story. Lets not forget he was able to go BACK to his seats to watch the end of the game, as there was not even a HINT of alcolohol on his breath.

What is the guy spoda do to clear his name. As I said earlier, should he have biatch slapped her? No, he did the right thing when she started going all sister 101 on him and waving her finger in his face and acting like the spoiled privaledged wretch that she is, and called security.

Then hes being portrayed in the media as a drunken idiot. Tell ya what, I would want to be vindicated as well. I guarantee that as soon as Antonio and low rent wife apoligise, this suit goes away.

How would this make you feel, from a chicago sun times article.

Axelrod said he has received dozens of e-mails and calls from people questioning his actions. He wants to clear his name.

''My old college professor called me and said, 'I saw you being escorted out,''' he said. ''More bothersome than being drunk was you would abuse a woman. You put those together, and it's even worse.''

Isn't it great that we have a civil litigation system that will sort out the truth in this situation, that an appropriate award will be given, that the lawyers involved will receive reasonable fees for their efforts an that justice will certainly be done???
