seq004 Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 As the new HC. Per Mort on ESPN. 573255 Haslett has to be saying WTF is going on.
d_wag Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 sportscenter just said detroit hired marinelli no haz there clayton wrong again! 573257 haz is our boy....and finally this team will get a shot of energy.....
Buftex Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Fat Fred Smerlas was just making it sound like Haslett was not going to get the Bills job. He claims to talk to Haslett every day. Smerlas also went on some tirade about the Bills not "taking care of" their ex-players...isn't this the guy who went on the Bills Wall of Fame just a few years ago? The more I listen to this guy, I think of petitioning Ralph to take him off the wall. Now, with Marinelli getting the Lions job, and Haslett likely to at least interview with the Bills, I bet Fred changes his tune.... BTW, before TD fired him when he got there, the Bills used to have a an ex-players/alumini association, headed by Bills great Jerry Butler. From what I remember, it was considered top notch by former players. TD thought it was a waste of time and money...
stuckincincy Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Marinelli 573294 Good luck to him. The Lions have a bunch of talented players. If this guy gets them on the same page, they will make noises next season.
Omar Little Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Smerlas = Fat douchebag. Take him off the wall.
BuffaloWings Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 BTW, before TD fired him when he got there, the Bills used to have a an ex-players/alumini association, headed by Bills great Jerrry Butler. From what I remember, it was considered top notch by former players. TD thought it was a waste of time and money... 573377 Just goes to show TD's character and how much he cared about Bills history. Jerry Butler was one of the first Bills I remember watching play in the early 80s (along with Joe Ferguson, Frank Lewis, and Joe Cribbs). I never heard a bad word about him.
PromoTheRobot Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Smerlas = Fat douchebag. Take him off the wall. 573400 I'll lead the petition drive. PTR

Last I knew, Lou Piccone was the president.
silvermike Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Good move, wrong organization. He'll be on the market by the next time we're looking for a coach, I think it'd be a good hire.
CoachChuckDickerson Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Thanks for the breaking news.... WATCH THE VIDEO BEFORE POSTING
slothrop Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Wow, the Lions GM must be fired. Marinelli F-ed up Erien County, imagine what she will do with the Lions! Didn't Know Lynn Marinelli had the time to both coach a team and run the County Leg.
