zow2 Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 ...early in each half?!? It's almost like it's scripted. He walks slowly up to the line and then just burns an important timeout early in the half. These timeouts are crucial. I can see blowing one in the 1st half, maybe for an important play but in a close 2nd half you definitely want all 3 timeouts when approaching the 2-minute warning. I don't want to see him non-chalantly burning TO's anymore. It annoys me.
stevestojan Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 He needs his head examined. No. Really. Literally. I think he needs to go to a doctor and have his head examined. I think he's got Patty Lala syndrome.

There's not a QB in the league who doesn't do the same thing--and it's usually because the coaches are so late in getting the play in. Would you rather have him take a delay of game penalty? This is getting ridiculous.
millbank Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Its a valid question, they have made the system not as complex this season , why the confusion ,is Drew doing to much thinking and changing plays at line or rejecting plays sent in at times, its doesnt happen with such frequency elsewhere.

RkFast Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 If you dont know why he's calling timeout, then I assume you are waiting for someone to steal a base. What's next? We're going to question why Drew yells "HUT HUT HUT!!!!!" in a funny cadence before he snaps the ball??!!??
Yard Monkey Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Maybe because he's learning a new offense. Rookies take a few years to learn a new offense, but even veterans take a few games to half a season.........

Then they lined up and the quarter ended before they ran a play.
RkFast Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Not only are some of you probalby waiting for someone to steal a base, you probably think youre watching the game in France.

If they had, the clock would not have start until they snapped the ball. There was an unusually long time between plays that time, that's all. Some of you need to think before you type things like this or learn some basic football rules.
