BravinSeattle Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Who here really believes that this decision isn't going to be based on money? How does a fan base push an owner into a corner to hire the best coach regardless of price? A newsworthy event, that's how. Period. There is NO WAY that Jauron can bring to the Bills what Sherman can bring. 1. INSTANT credibility with the players. For the most part he's not going to have to sell the players on any system. He'll instruct, they'll learn. We'll win. 2. He'll draw TALENTED assistant coaches such as Bates and people who want to learn under him. 3. He'll make it easier to bring in FA's in the offseason as he gets a lot out of his players because they RESPECT him. Anyone who sticks his finger in Warren Sapps face and tells him that what he did was "A bull sh--, classless hit" with the cameras rolling earns it. 4. He can manage a game. In other words his tenure will not be on the job training. 5. The Bills team is very similar to the HEALTHY Packers on both sides of the ball minus the HOF QB. 6. He's hiring doesn't signal rebuilding. It signals that we are committed to winning -- players respond to that. When Sherman leaves One Bills Drive tomorrow there should a group of fans with signs screaming "WE WANT MIKE! WE WANT MIKE! WE WANT MIKE!" because at the end of the day he's the best coach out there and after Greg Williams and Mike Mularkey the Bills players and fans deserve nothing less.
Omar Little Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 If I was in the area I'd be there. Hopefully people do this. Sherman is the man.
BravinSeattle Posted January 18, 2006 Author Posted January 18, 2006 If I was in the area I'd be there. Hopefully people do this. Sherman is the man. 571961 Same here. I mean its not even CLOSE.

BravinSeattle Posted January 18, 2006 Author Posted January 18, 2006 Maybe that same thousand can paint "WE WANT MIKE" over their "WELCOME DREW" signs from the last rally! 571969 Works for me. I really, really hope that after one of the 25,000 F5's at work I see a thread that begins ESPN reports Sherman to be named Bills HC.
Mark VI Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 " WE WANT MIKE " is an effective sign, although some will have " I HATE DICK " signs also...which makes me wonder why they needed to print that on a sign...
Campy Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Who here really believes that this decision isn't going to be based on money? 571959 That'd be me.
gantrules Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 It shouldn't be too hard. Just get the local unemployment office to set it up. You'll have close to 20,000 folks in no time at all.
Beerball Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Maybe that same thousand can paint "WE WANT MIKE" over their "WELCOME DREW" signs from the last rally! 571969 Wouldn't Mularkey feel abandoned by a show of support for another Mike so soon after his sad departure? A couple weeks ago a sign like that outside of OBD meant an angry mob with pitchforks and torches.
kasper13 Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I don't want either one. That is the best the Bills can do? That's sad.
DC Mom Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Sherman will not be named today. They need to interview at least one more person.
bobblehead Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Sherman will not be named today. They need to interview at least one more person. 572235 Your sources are not deep, deep enough.

Talonz Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I don't want either one. That is the best the Bills can do? That's sad. 572176 Beating a dead horse here, but what in the world is wrong with Sherman ???? He is such a dramatic upgrade from the junk we've had here for the past 4-5 years... Mularky or Sherman ?? hmmmm......
VABills Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 No need to make up the 2nd sign, just find some lesbians who recently attended a parade and recycle. 572484 Or for those supporting Jauron go get the signs from a gay parade and recycle.
VABills Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Sherman will not be named today. They need to interview at least one more person. 572235 Ahhhh, yes, the token interview.
BravinSeattle Posted January 19, 2006 Author Posted January 19, 2006 Wouldn't Mularkey feel abandoned by a show of support for another Mike so soon after his sad departure? A couple weeks ago a sign like that outside of OBD meant an angry mob with pitchforks and torches. 572114 That would be my luck. Being responsible for encouraging a groundswell of support to get Mike MULARKEY back. Uggh.
Orton's Arm Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 When Sherman leaves One Bills Drive tomorrow there should a group of fans with signs screaming "WE WANT MIKE! WE WANT MIKE! WE WANT MIKE!" 571959 If that happens, maybe RW will respond by bringing back Mike Mularkey!
Ranger Ranchod Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Why not call their PR department? A massive calling of support for Mike to the PR dept will definitely filter through the offices and be heard by some of the higher-ups... that is what they're there for.
