A month or so ago I asked a question about Ralph driving a car when he comes to town.

He gets off his personal jet and gets into his personal Ford Taurus alone and drives off.

Some people mentioned they've seen him drive a blue Bills logoed PT Cruiser.

Well today channel 2 showed Ralph driving the Taurus and Kilgore mentioned that Ralph liked that inexpensive automobile or something like that :D

But the screwy part is he was driving Dick Jauron!!! 0:) Presumably back to the airport.

So I glean a few things from this.

1. Ralph must really think highly of Jauron to personally escort him back to the airport or to lunch or anywhere and

2. Jauron is missing something upstairs or must be dying for the job to get in a car with Ralph behind the wheel :( Perhaps this was Ralphs way of testing his mental toughness and is actually part of the interview process ;)

More power to a man at Ralphs age if he can still drive, but knowing how he speaks, I dont want to be on the road near him.

I wonder what was going through Jauron's when Ralph was probably going 45 on the thruway? Hell what do I know maybe he was going 85!

Either way, I wonder what was going through Jauron's mind?

I'm thinking he was very slowly saying to himself, h o l y s h i t !

I am inclined to have respect for my elders

and I hope to be half as feisty as Mr. Wilson when I get to be his age.

That being said- I think that I would pull off the road if I saw him cruise by me in a Taurus!!

P.S. Did the Taurus have spinning rims?

This thread is so wrong.

My granddad was the worst driver in the history of driving. Dude would cut people off, stop abruptly, drive by brail, etc. I never ever ever passed up a chance to go for a ride with him. People would be honking left and right, yelling, and swerving to get out of his way. My grandmother would just sit there oblivious to anything that was going on outside that Datsun 210 or whatever the hell it was. Friggin hilarious stuff man.

Man I miss those good times.

The first thought that should have crossed Dick's mind was, WTF, I'm not good enough for a limo?

What did he fly out on? Southwest airlines?

Ralph is a multimillionaire and settles for a Taurus. Is he building a moon base on the side or something? Why so tight with the cash, old man?

Wasn't Ricardo Montalban the guy who tried to convince us in the 1970's Ford ads that a Ford Granada is just like a Mercedes?

For all we know his Ford Taurus may be one of the 1st generation ones, circa 1986... Called the "Hank Bullough special"... You know the ones with the huge patches of rust that seemed to develop on those autos during that period! :huh:0:)

Just wait to Haz comes to town... Back in the day, Haz and the boyz were known to haunt the old Mr. C's on Genesee and Transit... Maybe RW will break out the wagon and tote the boyz up to the new place on Aero Drive... The name escapes me, Pharaoh's ??? Ah, RW just trying to relive the good 'ole days.

Didn't Dick Jauron get his coaching start as a DB coach with the Bills? He is an Eli... Should be right up Marv's Crimson alley?

They don't make the Taurus anymore...Not for about two years!

So he is a multi-millionare driving a old car? :w00t:

Why not upgrade to the Ford 500?

  :w00t:

Ford Taurus are still being built, but are only for fleet sales (our company is still using them and the last lease was around March 2005, with this coming March the next batch).

Or so I was told also by a Ford dealership......

Ralph was also wearing a big Bills winter coat. The ugly kind. Just to show that he really is going to be more involved. I picture him wearing a headset this year.

I wonder if Ralph has Florida plates on his car. I know he lives in Detroit, but I think after a certain age the Constitution says you have to get Florida plates.

It's probably one of those snorkel-type coats where the hood zips up to show only the tip of your nose.
