macaroni
, the minority interview scheme is actually to remedey the history racial discrimination in the NFL. 570980[/snapback] Now let me get this straight ............ A racist owner refuses to even interview an African American candidate (no matter how qualified he may be) ...... and all of a sudden a rule that forces him to interview a token candidate has changed his outlook to the point that makes him willing to hire said candidate????? Methinks not. It's mearly a coincidence that SOME of the NFL ownership has become "enlightened" and is willing to hire the right person for the job no matter what color. Iberian (spanish) ancestry. There's a lot of debate about whether or not they actually existed.
RJsackedagain
I think Marv and Ralph forgot about the rule ... or maybe they feel they have addressed the situation since Marv and Ralph are both senior citizens and Marv is jewish
tennesseeboy
I haven't heard any names of candidates that impress me enough to warrant flouting the rule, in letter or in spirit. Ted Cottrell should be interviewed as a serious candidate. He's coached more successfully than Haslett and some of the others being bandied about.
