BillsGuyInMalta Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 The Saints job is going to be a really hard-sell, not just because the team isnt very good. What you are looking at there is a complete rebuilding job in terms of winning the fans back and helping to organize an NFL team in what is sadly a decimated city with a damaged stadium. Plus, they have no QB, and injured RB and a Defense lacking direction. They are good along the lines though, at least there is a foundation. But still, very tough job in New Orleans.
stuckincincy Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Marv better start checking out the High Schools - everybody's getting scooped up.
JoeF Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 That's really good news...ESPN Radio had Sherman as the favorite of the Saints earlier tonight. Not that I don't like Payton--but we just traveled that highway twice-- Sherman did not sound very enthused in his interview with the Saints media...

Blue Chipper Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Payton will take the job in New Orleans and get head coaching experience. They will have three or four losing seasons and blame him. Sound familiar?
JAMIEBUF12 Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 maybe payton will do good there? they will be more stable next season.he is a young guy who wont be expected to be a playoff team, and the last thing maybe after a off season the players will feel team unity to play hard for the fans knowing lots of them have real hardships in their rebuilding of new orleans.
