granitestatebillsbackers Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Richard Seymour and David Givens. Both are due to negotiate deals and say they want to stay in NE, but business is business. Seymour will continue to be a solid DE, and Givens would be great lining up opposite Evans. Comments?
Hollywood Donahoe Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Comments? Seymour isn't a free agent until after 2006.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Richard Seymour and David Givens. Both are due to negotiate deals and say they want to stay in NE, but business is business. Seymour will continue to be a solid DE, and Givens would be great lining up opposite Evans. Comments? Seymour is under contract until 2006, but the Pats will likely seek to restructure his $5M base salary. Seymour OTOH will look for a big-money, long-term deal that will pay him a load. I can't see him taking a lesser deal anymore, what with his contract squabbles in the past, making the all-pro team again, and the Pats not winning the SB again. As for Givens, word is that the Pats don't think he's worth as much as he'll be given on the open market. So likely he'll leave for greener backs.
