Corp000085 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 somewhere, somehow, Ray Lewis is sharpening a blade for that comment.
Rico Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Meanwhile on ESPN both NFL Live & now Rome Is Burning (substitute host ) have ravagied Peyton Gump... can't wait for PTI!
AKC Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Got it. 569980 I'll leave a menu from the mess decks on your rack and pencil you in for Midrats until you get settled in. The bad news is that having just boarded you will be required to do a 2 week tour in the skullery.

Fake-Fat Sunny Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Got it. 569980 You would think some idiots believe exactly this they way they over-focus spending team resources in search of the nnext QB phenom when so much of winning this game is about stopping the run and running rather just simply passing effectively. Unfortunately, it has been one of the perpetual failings of the Bills to first believe falsely that Kelly would last forever (leading to the mistake of failing to get a replacement to train for him a year before they drafted Collins, RWS making a handshake seal to reward JK and then cutting him, and then panicing and over-reaching for TC and then rushing him along). When TC was not Kelly immediately they then over-reached for Billy Joe Idiot. The Bills then overpaid to sign RJ and reneged on their deal with Flutie to give him a fair chance on the field. The failure of RJ and the deal which rolled DF's achieved bonuses into his base salary forced us into signing DF to a long-term deal. The deal for Bledsoe proved to be a wash (IMHO after a great 02 and a horrendoius 03) but rather than simply walking away TD stupidly extended him. They then traded up to get JP (maybe not a bad move actually given the horrible QB talent in the 05 draft) but again the QB fixartion led to them rushing him along which seemed to be the beginning of the dissension that ripped this team apart. We will be going in the right direction if we realize this is a good game because its a TEAM game!

The fact that we traded 3 picks to get Losman makes it a horrible deal. 3 picks that could've been used to fill positions along both sides of the lines. 3 picks on a very raw qb with poor mechanics and happy feet, and questionable leadership skills. The situation then made worse by unfairly rewarding him the starting job, after he was outplayed all through the preseason and not ready for it, then taking away that job that was handed him, claiming Holcomb gave us a better chance to win. Whether or not Losman turns out to be a good qb one day is a unknown. Personally I believe eventually he'll be adequate but certinally not justifiable giving up 3 draft picks for him.

Think about it this way: we dealt 2 other "players" in this trade, not 3. Otherwise it was like swapping firsts in '04 and '05, which is fine since '05 was QB weak. People can't seem to get this. It was a fine strategy that was hindered and somewhat altered when TV broke JP's leg.

Its not only about quarterbacks.
