EndZoneCrew Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Obviously there is no proof or "link", however, you will see it will happen. Just remeber I had it first. 569830 I don't believe you......are you the 12th son of the Lama?
JoeF Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Marv Levy pass the tip to SOPRANO 3695 at 31 Flavors last night near the Buffalo Airport. I guess it's pretty serious. 569908 You had me until the airport....its just not a place where truths are born...
The Avenger Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Must be the same guy who knows somebody with a buddy who works in the Bills Pro Shop. Ralph doesn't make any major decisions without making sure the folks in retail merchandise sales know about it....
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I'm really not liking what I've been seeing so far from this Marv Levy regime. I agree. That whole week of him being GM has been HIGHLY disappointing.
apuszczalowski Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Yes its so disapointing that there are no top notch coaching canidates fired recently that we can bring in to interview and the next HOF coach who was our only hope at getting to the SB has walked out on us. Marv Levy should be FIRED IMMEDIATELY and we should be looking into hiring that guy named Tom Donahoe, I hear he did some good stuff in Pittsburgh
IDBillzFan Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Anybody spot Mr. Peabody? That would be a sign that Sherman's around somewhere. 569883 That would be appropriate as the only way some people would be happy with this team is if they had a Wayback Machine.
timmyk12 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 ESPN News was reporting at 3 pm that Sherman will interview with the Bills...maybe they also know someone deep inside the organization (Marv's personal trainer maybe?)
LabattBlue Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I just saw Sherman at the McDonalds across from the Airport. I think it's the same one somebody spotted Terry Miller at. Anyways, he was just passing through town to check out the progress on the Peace Bridge as he is a big fan of architecture. Sadly for him, there was nothing to see.
Mark VI Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 ESPN News was reporting at 3 pm that Sherman will interview with the Bills...maybe they also know someone deep inside the organization (Marv's personal trainer maybe?) 569944 He could be the OC for Ham Sandwich.
Fan in Chicago Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 He could be the OC for Ham Sandwich. 569953 Wish we could talk Mike Ditka (despite his latest HC job) or Jimmy Johnson (despite his spiky hair-do and general feeling of resentment on this board) out of retirement.
jarthur31 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Really now. Can we station a couple of watchdogs at the airport to confirm these dog blasted rumors?
Fan in Chicago Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Random thought - I wonder if there is some way to calculate what percent of fired head coaches have won the SB for their subsequent teams ? We are in a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. On one hand you can ask for previous head coaching experience and end up with any number of fired HCs as candidates. On the other hand we can hire a co-ordinator and run the risk of having yet another disaster on our hands.
WVUFootball29 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Cool! Inside info brought to you from the author of such gems as: "Marv would do it all....it has been done before" (when asked "How likely is a return to the sidelines by Marv Levy") "Wade will be the man in 2006....and he will wear a headset" "I saw him(Jimmy Johnson) at the Casino." Wow, can't get any more definitive than that! THANX FOR THE AWESOMEST SCOOP EVER!!! 569857 didnt he lobby for for a Moulds TO trade as well....
BillsGuyInMalta Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Mike Sherman is to the Green Bay Packers as George Seifert was to the San Fransisco 49ers. This guy was no innovator and it seems like he rubbed many people the wrong way (i.e. lousy communicator). The only reason he has the good record was that he had a player named Brett Favre on his team. I'm really not liking what I've been seeing so far from this Marv Levy regime. 569853 Hey come on...Levy brought the WORD to Buffalo in just one week! http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=39532&st=0 This week he'll bring the noise...then the funk!
Typical TBD Guy Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Mike Sherman is to the Green Bay Packers as George Seifert was to the San Fransisco 49ers. This guy was no innovator and it seems like he rubbed many people the wrong way (i.e. lousy communicator). The only reason he has the good record was that he had a player named Brett Favre on his team. I'm really not liking what I've been seeing so far from this Marv Levy regime. 569853 Maybe so, but I've also heard that he's a guy well respected around the league who was unfairly fired over a situation (player injuries plus Favre's refusal to come to grips with his own decline) out of his control. Who knows? I've read negatives here about EVERY head coaching candidate floating around. But we have to hire SOMEONE. I think Sherman is our best fit. He knows a lot of very smart NFL people who can be brought in to help coach, and he also was supposedly a huge fan of JP before we traded up to grab him. Not a great innovator? If true, we can still do fine with a good OC and DC. Not a great communicator? If true, we can send Marv into the locker room every once in a while and communicate to the players how important it is to play well and win . Hey, with Sherman's coaching record and football resume, he must have SOME X's and O's knowledge and SOME motivational skills to get to where he did and to do what he's done.
Typical TBD Guy Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Mike Sherman will be intervieing with the Bills later this week. This is from deep within the organization. Obviously there is no proof or "link", however, you will see it will happen. Just remeber I had it first. 569830 Paulie Walnuts called. He wants his tupperware back.
BillsFanForever19 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 http://www.wgrztv2.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=34569 I'm sure the guy below me will want some "You were right" backups.
gmanbfan Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I like the idea of Sherman. He has the GM experience which might be a good idea to have! http://www.wgrztv2.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=34569 I'm sure the guy below me will want some "You were right" backups. 570106
