GG Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 In discussing Wilson squashing Levy's coaching aspirations, and the possibility of Bills speaking with Peyton, Mort said that Ralph is "inpatient and wants to win now." That's why he would opt for an experienced coach. In his sights are Hasslett & Fassell. I may be nitpicking, but I found it curious that he inserted "inpatient" in his report. To me, it's a subtle dig on RW's firing TD.
swede316 Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Well...If you were 80 something...wouldn't you be impatient? Hell I'm 36 and want to win NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dave mcbride Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 did anyone read gg's post? he suggested that mort made a deliberate slip by saying INpatient (as opposed to IMpatient).
DC Mom Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Well I guess I'd prefer RW to be an outpatient.

Attatching "wanting to win now" right after calling him "impatient" isn't necessarily a shot at Ralph.

swede316 Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 aw hell...whose isn't? Does this mean I won't make 37?
Kultarr Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Seriously though, 5 years is more than enough time for a regime to establish itself, set a direction, and make serious strides. Mort is unlikely to say it, but his buddy Tom never set a football direction and the Bills flailed around in ineptitude on the field under his leadership.

Saying that Ralph is impatient & wants to win now, is quite redundant, thus I see using the word impatient to describe Ralph's eagerness to dispatch the former regime. It's not exactly a complimentary description.

Please bring in Ron Rivera and let him establish a real tough brand of Bills football. This team desperately needs an identity. Haslett or Fassell = no balls and zero respect
BuffOrange Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 As opposed to accepting fuddling around for 5 years and accomplishing exactly nothing? That sort of impatience? 568021 Yeah, haha. It's been fun getting enormous credit from the media and losing for 5 years, but get used to getting bashed on a regular basis. Hopefully that criticism is accompanied by winning. You would think ESPN would at least pretend to be a little more subtle about their blatant butt buddy relationship with TD.
krazykat Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Well I guess I'd prefer RW to be an outpatient. 568028 LOL. Wondering when someone was going to react.
JoeF Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Mort, Lenny, Nerd Boy--all depend on sources...TD has to be in the league for them to have one of their most reliable inside sources. They are going to spend time building up the story that the situation in Buffalo was awful so that it removes some of the public stigma of failure from TD and he ends up with a new job. Just read this week's tip sheet from Lenny P--he pretty much prints TD's resume and lays out a "Will work for jock smell" case for hiring TD... We are going to have to live with this until TD is gainfully employed. So, how much truth is there to the "Bills organization sucks" argument--I don't know--according to Ralph he is a dream owner that doesn't mess with the details and will do whatever it takes to build a winner...I am willing to take him at his word--but we'll see now that he is back in charge. The next 120 days lays the groundwork for the next 5 years...I think I'll assess it at the beginning of May and see where we are...
