Formerly Allan in MD Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Does Tressel have any NFL (assistant) coaching experience?
Alaska Darin Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Would you take a paycut to leave Ohio State and come to this goatfuk?
JoeF Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Would you take a paycut to leave Ohio State and come to this goatfuk? 565375 Just my opinion but I think we are somewhere past goat...we might be to donkeyfuk..
bluenews Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Tressel has no pro experience. 565477 .....in the NFL, most of his players at Ohio State and before that at Youngstown get paid!!
Adam Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 .....in the NFL, most of his players at Ohio State and before that at Youngstown get paid!! 565488 Herre's a quarter, go buy a clue
BrixtonBill Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Senator Tressel would much rather spend the rest of his career pimp slapping Michigan annually and challenging for a national title every 4 years then coming to Buffalo and playing the Jets twice a year.
RJsackedagain Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Even though Tressel would have to work with a salary cap in the NFL, I'm all for hiring him. Dude knows how to prepare for a big game, his teams play hard and he knows how to make "in-game" changes

Like A Mofo Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Would you take a paycut to leave Ohio State and come to this goatfuk? 565375 Exactly. And the same goes for Weis. Why would these two leave PREMIUM jobs to cometo Buffalo??
OnTheRocks Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 i do believe he has an airtight contract and think even if Ralph puked out a 4 - 6 mil. annual salary offer, Tressel would be unavailable.
BrixtonBill Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Exactly. And the same goes for Weis. Why would these two leave PREMIUM jobs to cometo Buffalo?? 565594 Two reasons why Weis would leave ND: 1. Sahlen's hot dogs 2. Anchor Bar Other than that I agree that it would take a lot to get him out of ND but if RW pulled the old roast turkey on a string like Bugs Bunny I'll bet he could get him in for an interview.
buckeyemike Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Senator Tressel would much rather spend the rest of his career pimp slapping Michigan annually and challenging for a national title every 4 years then coming to Buffalo and playing the Jets twice a year. 565527 And that's why Jim Tressel's staying in Columbus. Mike
Mark VI Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 And that's why Jim Tressel's staying in Columbus. Mike 565773 Thank God. Leave Tressel to lead my team to BCS games most every year.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted January 13, 2006 Author Posted January 13, 2006 I think too many are downplaying the Marv part of the equation. A lot of coaches might give Buffalo a second thought because of the prospect of working with Marv. That said, the right person is going to cost Ralph big bucks. But at this point in time, Wilson may not care how much it costs to get the right man.
crazyDingo Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 ALRIGHT, I give up. If Marv offers me 5 million per season I will accept Ralph's offer to become assistant podium coach with the option of becoming the GM when I'm 80. I just hope you people will leave my family alone. My canary, Prescious, has a weak tummy and she couldnt take the critcism you vile WNYers spew out. You hear me, Sullivan? You leave my bird alone!
Tortured Soul Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Treseel will be preseason 1 or 2. He may leave OSU, but not there. And for the sake of my alma mater, UM, get him out. And Lloyd Carr, but that's a different topic.
bluenews Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Herre's a quarter, go buy a clue 565526 keep the change.......have you been on a recruiting weekend at Ohio State? I have and know first hand (ahmmm!) what this guy is all about!!!
Spun Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 There is zero chance that Tressel would leave a dream job at OSU for the Bills coaching vacancy. Zero. College football has something that ensures constant winning for big name programs - recruiting. Why would he leave when he is having the success that he currently enjoys. Money, fame, challenge? He doesn't need it. By the way, John Cooper is gone. Deal with it.
Sen. John Blutarsky Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Just my opinion but I think we are somewhere past goat...we might be to donkeyfuk.. 565484 well on our way to Mongolian Cluster...
