Who said you're giving them a one year contract? They will likely be given three or even four year contracts. Other than the coordinators, doesn't make much difference as even if they come to Buffalo, and in a year MM gets fired, the new head coach wants a whole new staff, so they're let go. The new D line then would get paid by Ralph until they get a new job which likely would occur with in a year anyway. So at most Ralph pays them for a year.

and who says that one of the coordinators that come couldnt be taking the job knowing if mike screws up they are a candidate for the head coach,or a highly touted coordinator comes with the title assistant head coach???

Mularkey has three years left on his deal -- the Bills will be offering the OC and DC candidates at least three-year contracts, if I had to guess.

or maybe a guy with HC experience (see Martz or Haslett or Capers) who thinks he can step in improve the offense (or defense) enough that he can step in and replace Mularkey when Mike gets the axe after next season.
