Kultarr Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Wait. I've actually seen the 49ers offense. "I'm gonna tell you something; I don't like this move." -- Paul Maguire

GG Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Wasn't this guy on someone's hot list here the last time Bills had HC openings?
KOKBILLS Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 That was 'Charlie' I believe, 562551 Yes it was... and we are dating ourselves badly by knowing.... I actually had a Charlie McCarthy Ventriloquist Dummy when I was VERY Young...Something I had completely forgotten prior to this thread...Or maybe I forced the memory out 'cause that thing was staring at me all the time...
ans4e64 Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Mike McCarthy = Gregg Williams (as a head coach)
Dennis in NC Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Wasn't this guy on someone's hot list here the last time Bills had HC openings? 562553 Wasn't McCarthy the Saints OC at that time?

Watch this replay right here. 562550 No, no, no, you've got it wrong: "You wanna see an explosive offense? Watch this right here. Look at how Alex Smith takes the ball and then makes the perfect read -- [replay shows Smith taking a sack] -- well, I'm tellin' ya, this kid and this offense are something."
Mark VI Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Wasn't this guy on someone's hot list here the last time Bills had HC openings? 562553 Head Chef opening, maybe. A wiz with Retatta.
scribo Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 McCarthy = the Packers accepting middle-of-the-pack at best = Farve is a sure gonner
Coach Tuesday Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Why is this HUGE news for us? Because it frees up Jim Bates, who has said he won't return to GB unless as head coach. He would be a SOLID hire as defensive coordinator.

Guffalo Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Head Chef opening, maybe. A wiz with Retatta. 562638 He really gave a good interview, and he looks like any one of us, (a doofus) 49ers new HC

She was there on the sidelines with him during the Joe Horn Cell Phone game. She said Jim Hasslet and him stayed with Joe Horn after the rest of the team had left, and the yelled at him for a straight hour. I think she said he was on the Packers staff during their last super bowl run, so he must have some good ties to Green Bay.
