billfan63 Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 David Carr to Miami for Ricky Williams and a #2 in 2007
KD in CA Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Wow...really? Link? I happen to think that David Carr could be a very good QB if not stuck with the problems he's had in Houston.
Alaska Darin Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 If I was Carr I'd kill myself if that trade went through. Another team with a bad OLine. That would obviously mean that Houston wouldn't pick a RB but would instead go VY or ML.

(with the assumption that RW has actually gotten his head out of his ass) Miami gets their QB and can work on the line in the offseason. Houston gets a good RB which allows them to draft local boy hero Vince Young, which also buys them a little time to rebuild the line.

Outkast Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 That trade would be great for both teams. Ricky Williams remains a top notch running back and will allow Houston to pick up either one of those QB's (VY or ML) that, IMO, are both clearly better prospects than David Carr. David Carr would be an immediate upgrade at QB for the fish. Their Offensive line isn't bad at all. They improved as the season grew older and you can bet your bottom dollar Nick Saban will bring in more talent on the O-line. Carr will have more weapons to work with in Miami. With Chambers, Booker, McMichael and Ronnie Brown at his side he should realize his full potential. This trade looks scary to me as a Bills fan.

Rumor is that Denver OC Gary Kubiak is all but hired as the Houston HC. This seems like a logical and good trade for both teams. Houston gets another RB to pair with Davis and makes room for hometown hero Young, and Miami gets the QB they need.
WVUFootball29 Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Yes, I know the rumor...but nothing is signed sealed or delivered yet.
JAMIEBUF12 Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 i read that a few days ago on pro football talk, that site sux and when they are right they will have like 9 stories saying i told you so ,but no stories when they are off the mark!which is about 80%of the time

Hollywood Donahoe Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 What is a VY or ML? VY=Vince Young ML=Matt Leinart The obvious choice, though, would be Young, local as he is.
nodnarb Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Please let this be true. PLEEEASE god let Miami have David Carr and give up their second rounder...PLEEEEEASE GOD.....
seq004 Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Please let this be true. PLEEEASE god let Miami have David Carr and give up their second rounder...PLEEEEEASE GOD..... 562322 I agree, please make that trade Miami
CoachChuckDickerson Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Sounds like a team that is trying a bit too hard to make it seem like they won't take Reggie Bush.

PLEEEASE god let Miami have David Carr and give up their second rounder...PLEEEEEASE GOD..... 562322 Why would this make you so happy? Carr could be quite good & the Fish rid themselves of a RB they don't need & a 2nd round pick..... Big deal!
dave mcbride Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Please let this be true. PLEEEASE god let Miami have David Carr and give up their second rounder...PLEEEEEASE GOD..... 562322 be careful what you wish for. he's got a very good arm, is accurate, and is bright. miami is a much better situation than houston. the other houston factor is that both williams and young are UT legends. that means a lot there.
BuffaloWings Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 What everyone seems to be forgetting is that Houston has a solid, legitimate RB in Domanick Davis. Houston doesn't *need* a RB or QB - they need their line in gear and a coach that knows what he's doing as a HC.
Astrobot Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Sounds like an argument for a tradedown to about #4 and drafting DaBrick.
