scribo Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 The first (and probably only) Bills offensive lineman from the Super Bowl years to make the Hall of Fame will be Kent Hull. The league's best team also has the best center -- Indy's Jeff Saturday. The Steelers, among the best rushing teams, has their QB put his hands up Pro Bowler Jeff Hartings. The Bears' Olin Kreutz helped hias running back top 1,300 yeards. All three teams will be playing this weekend -- two of the teams will be at home. Mike Webster, a HOF center, was instrumental in getting the Steelers to the promise land four times. He Played in four Super Bowls and six AFC championship games. It's not a coincidence that great teams have great centers. IMHO, there is no more important position than center. All that said ... I really hope the Bills can land LECHARLES BENTLEY. Link to official bio Story about the Saints entering the offseason The 2006 salary cap has been projected to fall between $92 million and $95 million. Loomis said the team should be in "decent" salary-cap shape as it enters free agency in March. If inclined, Loomis said the team could afford to re-sign free-agent defensive end Darren Howard and free-agent center LeCharles Bentley. "They're both good players," Loomis said. "They've both been productive over the last three, four or five years. But neither is under contract (beyond March 1), so it's more their decision if they want to be back than it is ours. They have big decisions to make."
