PromoTheRobot Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Who needs Eli Manning. Let's draft Marcus Vick. We can trade for T.O. too. Maybe Lawrence Phillips is still available. PTR
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 what ever floats your boat big fella... Double your pleasure...
OGTEleven Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 i'd rather have Eli's 11-5 record vs JPs 1-7 559150 It's splitting hairs I know, but how on earth does Holcomb get credit for the KC win?
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 It's splitting hairs I know, but how on earth does Holcomb get credit for the KC win? The same way Brady got credit for the playoff win against the Steelers back in 2001. It's basically the QB who started the game, regardless (or is that irregardless? ) of the QB not scoring any points.
BDW1968 Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 I probably would say yes. I'm not really confident in Losman's abilities as a Qb. 559114 No, he has not been given ample time to play.
/dev/null Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 It's splitting hairs I know, but how on earth does Holcomb get credit for the KC win? 559201 okay, i'll give that to JP even tho he wasn't the starter 2-7 ain't that great either
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 okay, i'll give that to JP even tho he wasn't the starter 2-7 ain't that great either The Bills have won 2 games with JP and they've won 3 games with Holcomb. That's not a statistically significant difference.
/dev/null Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 The Bills have won 2 games with JP and they've won 3 games with Holcomb. That's not a statistically significant difference. 559269 Holcomb ain't that great either
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Holcomb ain't that great either Fair enough. But with this offense (bad O-line, no TE, HC also doubling as OC), who COULD succeed?
Moose Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 NO! J.P. may be unproven but, mark my words, Eli is going to be considered a total bust in the eyes of football history. He is no Peyton and never will be. Plus, he has little pip-squeak arms! Eli=Overpaid, Overrated, Over-hyped JP=Who the hell knows?
JAMIEBUF12 Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 i'd rather have Eli's 11-5 record vs JPs 1-7 559150 and eli's record last year when he was supposed to be the starter spliting half his starts with kurt warner??????
Fan in San Diego Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 no, I'm not confident in Eli's ability !
XNorthBuffaloLad Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 JP is shít ... a total waste of a draft pick ... If we plan our future around him as QB, we're in serious trouble ... He's not an NFL QB by any means, nor will he be ..
meazza Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Then again, against the Panthers, Losman went 16 of 29 for 197 yards, 1 INT and 9 points, with a MUCH worse offense. I'd take that over 10 of 18 for 113 yards, 3 INT's, and NO points. 559146 you can't really compare a playoff game vs a regular season game
billsboys Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 Fair enough. But with this offense (bad O-line, no TE, HC also doubling as OC), who COULD succeed? 559275 Drew Brees, if the Chargers cut him.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 you can't really compare a playoff game vs a regular season game Why not? Isn't the object to win both?
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Drew Brees, if the Chargers cut him. Only if they cut Antonio Gates as well.
billsboys Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 Only if they cut Antonio Gates as well. 559588 Which, obviously they won't cut him! We do need a better TE than Campbell though.
NYGPopgun10 Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Then again, against the Panthers, Losman went 16 of 29 for 197 yards, 1 INT and 9 points, with a MUCH worse offense. I'd take that over 10 of 18 for 113 yards, 3 INT's, and NO points. 559146 I know he was bad today in the second half. But I pin this one on the defense. They were on the field the whole first half and couldn't make any stops to get our offense on so it could get into a rhythm. And our OC is a moron. They tossed in the towel on running the ball down 10 and panicked. Granted, Eli has a lot of work to do as far as improving his consistency throwing and reading defenses better. In any event, this whole trade Losman thing is pointless. Give the guy a chance. QBs take a while to develop.
