PISSCHUNK Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Not sure how many of you guys have watched him this year but the only time for me is the Rose Bowl and he completed dominated a potential mid-first round DT in Rodrigue Wright. He was blowing Wright off the ball all game long until the final 4th and 1 when Wright penetrated to help stop Lendale White for no gain. Among other things needed, we have to get push up the middle to be able to run again. He looked tremendous in this game. Any SC fans care to comment? Also, the junior Texas RT, Justin Blalock, is thinking of leaving early. It has been said he is another Larry Allen in the making at OG in the pros. Those two Texas OT's never let either DE from SC even come close to Vince Young! Hook 'Em!! Late

Lutui to me is 3rd/4th Round prospect but not someone I really like as to me his sheer size helps him at the NCAA level and that won't cut it at the NFL level. Though I'd prefer taking an OT(see Eric Winston) in Round 1 and shifting Gandy to LG and keeping Villarial another year to compete with Geisinger for the RG spot. Though I'd also draft an OG on day 2 (Round 4 or 5) of the draft to shore up some more depth. In terms of Texas, I've stated else where that their Left OT, Jonathan Scott, is a guy I'd take if the Bills were to trade down to the middle of the draft (picks 14-20).

I heard the Texans' staff of scouts commenting on Justin Blalock with the comparisons to Larry Allen and figured he no ways gets by them at the top of the 2nd. Jonathon Scott seems to get it done at LT. In a trade-down only though! Hook'Em! Late
Clockwork Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 This guy was dominating in college. I am sure it may not translate to the pro level, but he pushed guys back 10 yards on every play. If he is around in the 3rd or later, I would snag him.
Mark VI Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 http://www.footballsfuture.com/2006/prospe...euce_lutui.html and for Joseph http://www.footballsfuture.com/2006/prospe...vin_joseph.html

I am totally convinced now that if Ferguson falls out of the top 4, the Bills will trade with the Packers to select him at #5. D'Brickashaw is the ultimate anchor on the line, a guy that instantly upgrades everyone around him. Plus, being as that he plays the all-important LT spot, we can solve one of our biggest problems in one move. Sure, we'll be giving up our #1, one of our 3rds and probably our 4th to move up only 3 spots, but he is worth it. Take D'Brickashaw in the first, Joseph in the 2nd and Jesse Mahelona the DT from Tennessee in the 3rd and we will have taken a huge step to getting beter along the lines.

I still think they end up with him by trading down with Green Bay or the Jets or just taking him #1 overall. Hence my callings for us to take Eric Winston with our top pick. As stated earlier Joseph is definately worth our #2 pick but I think a better selection would be a DT. Gabe Watson's stock has really fallen and think if we could nab him in Round 2 it be excellent value. Then I'd look to take an OG later in the draft. Another Wolverine, Matt Lentz could be a guy that could be available with our 4th Rounder and could step in as a starter in 2007. As again looking at our starting OGs next year to be Gandy and Villiarial. We can then use one of our 3rd Rounders on the secondary and the other on the best available player.
