NavyBillsFan Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Get him up here! He is no HC but he did very well in Pittsburgh. I think he would fit in here well and turn some things around as a cord.
Fan in Chicago Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 I second the nomination. 555135 I third it All in favor say 'aye'.
BuffalOhio Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 I third it All in favor say 'aye'. 555140 Aye!!!
Rico Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Dom would be the built-in mid-year replacement for MM... don't know if I'd like that. Doubt if he comes cheap either.
OnTheRocks Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 i like Capers as a DC and Norv Turner as a OC. so lets just say for the sake of playing along that is what happens. then you have two seasoned coaches being lead by a JV Head Coach. not sure that will work out too well for very long.

How's about Haslett as DC?

mravenger Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Anyone But Capers!!!! He proved he cannot win!
Lofton80 Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Haslett is getting a lot of interest as a HC candidate. Might end up in Oakland.

I think he would fit in here well and turn some things around as a cord. 555132 I disagree about him as not being a head coach- he has been in some tough situations, and did very well in Carolina (especially w/Polian) Houston has been a disaster from the beginning
Fixxxer Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Hire him, draft AJ Hawk and let´s play some 3-4 defense.

Adam Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Hire him, draft AJ Hawk and let´s play some 3-4 defense. 555260 I like your line of thinking

buffaloboyinATL Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Haslett is from Pburg.. 555275 We're cursed. No more Pittsburghers.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 I doubt any of the prior head coaches will take a coordinators job till all head coaching jobs are gone. They likely are hoping to land one of them instead.
Adam Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 We're cursed. No more Pittsburghers. 555319 mmmmm, burghers.....with cheese!
MRM33064 Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Fellas, one problem here: Even if any of these big names were willing to accept a coordinator position when about 9 HC vacancies are available, Ralphie would have to be willing to pay him. Ralphie has a funny thing about paying coaches - you think he'd be so googly eyed over Mularkey if there were only 1 year left on his contract?
