jimshiz
Would it be fair to say that the CBS memogate is to the Republicans & Conservatives as the War in Iraq is to the Democrats & Liberals? Or is it unfair to say that memogate rises to the seriousness of the war? The Democrats & Liberals say: Bush Lied, Bush was misled by faulty intelligence, Bush rushed to war, Bush mishandled the aftermath of the war... The Republicans & Conservatives say: Rather Lied, Rather was misled by a deceitful source, Rather hates Bush so much he'd do anything to make him look bad, Rather & CBS are still trying to spin this as fake documents don't matter... How many of us on the right think that there is no way that GWB lied about the war, but was swayed by inaccurate evidence? While at the same time we think it is conceivable that Rather hates GWB so much he'd go with unverified evidence and he should be punished for not knowing better? How many of you on the left think that the possible veracity or content of the memos outweighs any possibility that they are fake? While at the same time you think that even though ousting Hussein is a good thing, the fact that no WMDs have been found yet makes it an "illegal" war?
