sfladave Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Could it be that the Bills have offered the GM and HC duties to a HC currently under contract with another team? I know that teams can hire away coaches from other teams if they are offering a promotion even if they are still under contract. This could be a Jeff Fisher scenario. I have never been a big proponent of 1 person taking on the duties of both GM and HC, but if it brought us Fisher I might warm up to the idea. Just a thought.
Corp000085 Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 doesn't that involve draft picks? Also, it involves advance permission to talk about hiring... We'd probably know if it was someone with another team.
Zac Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 I think they would have fire Moo by now, if that were the case.
stuckincincy Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 It would be hard to think that Fisher would leave TEN. AFAIK, he's well-liked by management and fans, and suffered a bum season thanks to cap stuff. And the the Titans played well enough in a number of their losses. I think they are on the fence re qb Volek taking over the reins for McNair. A 2nd round move if they think it is needed, to pick up a qb prospect wouldn't surprise me - their 3rd rounder is lost to them in the Henry trade.
drnykterstein Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 their 3rd rounder is lost to them in the Henry trade.553491[/snapback] ... aahhh it all makes sense.. Fisher loves that 3rd round draft pick so much that he will pick up and follow it to Buffalo.
obie_wan Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 In the ultimate irony, Ralph hires Bill Cowher to replace Teflon Tom after he is cut loose by the Steelers after yet another melt down in the playoffs.
