MDH Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 No link and no real surprise. 553392 I'm curious as to how MM could possibly survive this mess. This team just needs to make a clean sweep and be done with it.
Gavin in Va Beach Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Damn! With more practice, I think those short passes to Shelton would have been gold!
EC-Bills Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Damn! With more practice, I think those short passes to Shelton would have been gold! 553402 Until Shelton holds out for more money.
sfladave Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Didn't Mularkey take over the play calling in week 4 or 5? If so Clements being gone was a given.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Yep, check out ESPN.com, they have a link to Clements being fired now. Well, thank god for small miracles.
Keander Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2279669 Quote 'The Bills fired Tom Clements, the team's offensive coordinator the past two seasons, ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reported. Clements. 52, had previously worked on staffs in New Orleans, Kansas City and Pittsburgh.'
2003Contenders Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Hmmm. If Clements was "fired" then that must mean that MM did the honors, as Ralph explained in the PC that the head coach is responsible for hiring and firing his assistants. That probably means that MM is staying.

I believe Ralph's strategy is to tell the head coach to fire an assistant and if the order is not carried out, Ralph just fires the head coach.

Ralph has been in football for 50 years and his football team is worth somewhere between $600 million and $1 billion. He can do whatever the hell he wants.
