Gary M Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 can jim kelly help JP become a better player ? how about jimbo as head coach ? 552170 QB coach would be good, with SW as OC.
PromoTheRobot Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Good player does ot always make a good coach. I question if Jim Kelly has what it takes from a commitment standpoint. Plus he has said he has no interest in coaching. PTR
Buckeye Eric Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 can jim kelly help JP become a better player ? how about jimbo as head coach ? 552170 Bring in a guy with no coaching experience as an NFL head coach, now that is one of the best ideas I have heard yet on this board You must have forgotten to include a smilie of some sort. Chris Speilman wanted to be the head coach of the Buckeyes without having any coaching experience. It is a good thing they choose Tressel since Speilman coached the AFL Columbus Destroyers for only one year and had only one win when Tressel won the BCS in his second year.
kasper13 Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Take it for what it's worth but I have heard twice today on local TV (Channel 7-WKBW's Morning Show) that Jim Kelly will , in fact, become the QB Coach as a favor to Ralph & Marv Levy and it will be announced today. Nothing on WGR though.

Who is Yuri? Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 After listening to Jim every week on WGR, I'd be surprised to hear that he wants to make that sort of time comittment. But it would be very good news, and would signal that Sam Wyche will be the next OC.
bill in Livonia Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 I can't picture Jim Giving as much time to the job as it takes.
scribo Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 I could see Jimbo do it now that Hunter has gone on to a better place. R.I.P.
Adam Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 can jim kelly help JP become a better player ? how about jimbo as head coach ? 552170 Jim Kelly has repeatedly stated he has no desire to be a coach, nor the time for it. He does more important things, like Hunter's Hope!
Fan in Chicago Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 can jim kelly help JP become a better player ? how about jimbo as head coach ? 552170 I would rather have Frank Reich as QB coach.
