Adam Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 In 1997, if we stuck with Collins or Van Pelt- instead of trading for Johnson and Bledsoe, we could have fixed our line, then rebuilt the team, and been in position to do something. Losing is part of the cycle, and you cant avoid it, or artifically get rid of it.
Ray Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Better off getting great OL and DL and finding an average QB who can make some plays. You can then fill in with great skill players. Probably a better road to take than trading away number one picks for QBs.

Then TD would have known to respect our history better and would have been sure to build a better o-line. They just were not using their heads back then.

The rebuilding should have begun before DOnahoe ever left Pittsburgh
