IndyMark Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Tom Clements - gone. TD - stripped of personnel but still managing the books ???? - brought in to draft and head up personnel Tom Modrak - rides off in the sunset. Thoughts? Appease anyone? Is it likely?
Ozymandius Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Nah. I'd like to see everything get blown up and start from scratch. I don't have confidence in either Mularkey or Donahoe.

He's still a football man, not a businessman, even if that's what he's been more successful at. Someone will offer him a GM or Direfctor of Pro Personnel-type job, and he'll take it.
LabattBlue Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 TD - stripped of personnel but still managing the books 540843 I don't get this at all. Regardless of his title, TD was hired because of his football expertise and if RW feels he has failed in this regard, get rid of him. I'm not paying him all that money to oversee the "business" side of the house.
stuckincincy Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 (edited) Here's a couple of Wyche articles from the local paper today: General comments, health problems: http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art.../512230403/1066 and Wyche and the No-huddle offense: http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art.../512230366/1066 OOPS! Just noted that they are cited on TBD. Edited December 23, 2005 by stuckincincy
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Wyche can't handle it with his health. Odds are better that he'll resign than he'll take a promotion. My predicition was and still is firing of Tom Clements and some assistants, while keeping MM and TD on. I just don't think Wyche will be Clements' replacement.
RuntheDamnBall Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Nice shot at Paul McGuire there: "I'm kind of hoping that if I'm going to keel over that I do it during a game. At least I'll be on ESPN that night. "Look at him! Watch this replay! Bam!"
stuckincincy Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Nice shot at Paul McGuire there: 540922 Sam is certainly being the better man, tossing a few compliments the B'gals's way. The year he left, he had a big brouh-ha-ha with owner Mike Brown, in Brown's private office. Brown later claimed that Wyche quit on the spot, and then refused to pay out his contract when he fired him. The court said different.
