BF_in_Indiana Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 How pathetic is this??? Matt Millen the jerkoff has done a better job in putting together his team then TD. They went and got a top notch coach, and have now built an offense that will put points on the board. Ours still can't even make a first down with any regularity. This is pathetic.

I would argue that JAX & OAK are better that CHI & HOU. It's a marathon, not a sprint...unfortunately, the Bills have not yet decided to participate in this marathon.

BF_in_Indiana Posted September 20, 2004 Author Posted September 20, 2004 I don't see us winning more then 6 games. I'm sure Detroit will win 6 or 7......... And they are showing PROGRESS. That's the big difference. We aren't. We are digressing.
Guest Guest Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 That is because the Lions, unlike the Bills, have invested heavily (through both draft pix and free agency) in their o-line over the last few years.
RuntheDamnBall Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Lions signed Woody, who is turning out to be a nice addition, drafted a pretty special running back in Kevin Jones AND a top-flight receiver in Roy Williams, and were not afraid to let Harrington fail for a little while. And all this while last year's #2 overall pick at WR sits with unending injury problems. The Lions haven't faced any real world-beaters yet but they have the makings of a solid team. There is no shame in being worse than the Lions right now, given the difference in opponents we've faced. They are a trendy pick for the present, and we'll see how the season goes. The real shame for the Bills is in playing as badly as they have been, letting key players regress without repercussions, and making mistakes at the worst possible moments. I hope these are just Mularkey's growing pains. Donahoe has some 'splainin' to do though.
zow2 Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Jacksonville has scored 20 pts and they are 2-0. Bills have scored 20 pts and are 0-2. It's the nature of the NFL. Yes, by virtue of their record Detroit is better, period. But don't tell me Mariucci and Millen haven't had to suffer though some tough times,,,,they have. We should be 1-1 and that's exactly where I thought we'd be after 2 games. Losing to Jax on a hail Mary from the 7 yard line will be tough to shake off this season,,,,that killed us.
