pdh1 Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Police say it looks like he killed himself. Poor Tony.
The Tomcat Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 That would be the absolute worse thing that could happen to a person... That really sucks....Sorry Tony
Movinon Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 ESPN also reported his death but didn’t provide any details. My heart goes out to the Dungy’s. What a tragedy
colin Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 this could alter the chances for indy to make the superbowl anyone see any betting lines move much? that's a pretty tough thing to deal with when your team is going for the superbowl
Thailog80 Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 What a shame. TD seems like a great guy. I hope the Colts win it all for him.
30dive Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 anyone see any betting lines move much? 539896 I'm sure you were not really thinking clearly, but the guys kid died, by his own hand or for any other reason, a mans child has died. Who the F&*K could give a rip about the betting lines.

pdh1 Posted December 22, 2005 Author Posted December 22, 2005 I'm sure you were not really thinking clearly, but the guys kid died, by his own hand or for any other reason, a mans child has died. Who the F&*K could give a rip about the betting lines. 539902 What's really sad is that is his son was on the sidelines with him for every game. You could see him beside Tony helping out, like Marty's daughter did when he coached the Chiefs.
erynthered Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Here in Tampa, they're saying it was a suicide. Sad, truly sad.
SACKMARINO Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 539922 my heart goes out to Tony and his entire family. i remember watching the Bucs games years back and his son would be right by his side. go colts!
Clockwork Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Unreal. Thoughts are with the Dungy family.
Hollywood Donahoe Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Tragedies are hard enough as it is...to lose a loved one near the holidays is potentially even more painful. My condolences to Dungy and family.
Pete Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 That is !@#$ing horrible. I am so sorry- my prayers for the Dungy family
Mile High Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 this could alter the chances for indy to make the superbowl anyone see any betting lines move much? that's a pretty tough thing to deal with when your team is going for the superbowl 539896 Wow compassion much? My prayers are with the Dungy family.
Phlegm Alley Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Tony Dungy seems to be one of the best guys in the NFL and it is a real tragedy that this had to happen to him during a season in which he might fulfill one of his ultimate career accomplishments. Go Colts.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 A parent should never have to bury a child. Never. My condolences to the Dungy family.
UConn James Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Unbelievable. 539927 Unbelievable how? The rich and famous and their children are exempt from depression? A good friend's cousin in Greece killed himself a few years back. The note was very detailed as to why the decision was made; X was not greater than Y when he reflected on where he was in his life, and how, realistically, anything would change. I would argue that not all suicides are irrational. Tho at first blush, this case seems pretty tragic. It is sad that he couldn't work things out, and it's sad that it had to happen in a family that seems so nice in a world full of blowhards. One more example of how this is a pretty cruel world, and only the strong survive.
