London Calling?

And I quoteth from the Fletch....

"To Jerry's credit, I think he's put us in really good defenses. Even against New England, it was a blowout, but the defenses he called were really good defenses."

This is:

A) Classic textbook denial of the last remnants of reality.

B) Classic textbook delusional meanderings, based on one too many blows to the cranial region.

C) Classic textbook defecation canapé, plus A & B.

Sheesh, next the sun will be revolving around the world, which is flat.

Hrrrmp.

Maybe it's a politically correct way to say his Defensive Teammates are craptacular. If the Coach is doing HIS job, by calling the right defenses, then by extension - it must be the player's fault that they haven't/can't/won't execute the plan.

Maybe he's lobbying to stay longer.

The Fletch goes on to natter to the effect that "coaches don't play, players play". While this is a true statement in and of itself, this is further indication that:

A) The defensive scheme really is that good, but the players really are that bad

or.........

B) Mularkey, Gray and Their Band of Most Excellent Coaches really ought to get out there on the field against Cinci and show Jerry's Kids how it's done.

Mularkey has been quoted as saying that "Things haven't gone their way, this year and he really can't explain it" as the reason for the abyssmal tanking this season. Gee, if Bill Gates or Jeff Imelt said that to the stockholders.......
