Sure others have turned out worse but at least they were needs at the time they were drafted. Not to beat a dead horse or anything because I know the concensus around here is that the pick should have been used on an interior lineman. The more I think about it though, why the hell did TD and Co. ever consider him with our first pick? I've taken dumps bigger than this guy not to mention we have absolutely no use for him. He's never going to be much better, if any better, a WR than is Josh Reed (thats not saying much either). Oh yeah, he has sweet return skills huh? If I remember correctly we had three different guys return kicks for TDs last year and had the number one special teams unit in the NFL. Preston is the only draft pick I like from last year (I'm also excited about Everett but who knows). What a wasted pick, anybody remember those lineman we were thinking the Bills were going to draft? I wonder how some of those guys are doing this year. The only one I can remember was Baas and I'm pretty sure he was taken before we picked. Anybody remember any of the others?

Tell me who u would drafted that would have impacted this team right away? The dumbest draft pick was trading away a top 15 pick for Drew Bledsoe after we traded away a top 15 pick for Rob Johnson.

Adam Terry from the Cuse.

Why? Even now you would? Peters is better then Terry could dream of ever being.

Even Gandy is.

Babineaux is a DE. He wasnt going to play DT in the NFL. Entering the year, its seemed like Kelsay would be ok, now we se thats not the case.

There was no one worth taking on the OL's or DL's. END OF STORY.

So it should have been traded away then if you feel that way, right? The core is ignored my friend. Over and over again. It would have been a better move to draft either one of those guys over Parrish due to the fact that the LINES are hurting for young POTENTIAL TALENT rather than a 5' 8'' so called speed demon. The pick made NO sense at the time and still doesn't.

The OL has been ignored, but last year was not the year to draft OL in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. TD should have built the lines up the drafts before last where there were solid players throughout the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds. We passed on good players then, not last year.

Parrish will be a huge contributer to this team. Anytime you can get a guy that can take up more then one role on a team, He is a solid contributer. I liked the Everett pick also.

Its the other years we need to focus on.

I did as well agree with the Everett pick.

I also think the Everett pick is going to be a good one which is why I am not worried about drafting a TE in this upcoming draft.......

The fact is.....we need to have Mgt and then a HC who as a COACHING PHILOSOPHY.....especially on offense......

- If he wants JPL to chuck it 90 percent of the time (I hope that is not the case) then we need O Linemen that can friggen pass block....the one thing I am not hearing from anyone is how they see how accurate and how JPL can gun that ball in there WHEN HE HAS TIME......to me that has been the reoccuring theme of watching JPL......a little bit of time equals JPL shredding defenses both short and long.......pressure pressure pressure equals bad throws and bad decisions......

- The alternative of this would be to get O linemen who can grind out yards even when defenses bring up safeties and allow Magehee to get yards before he is touched.....a lot of people have been on Magehee...and rightfully so for the dancing....but the fact is HE HAS NO WHERE TO GO......we need guys who can open up wholes consistantly...and then you can let JPL work off playaction.

It isn't really that complicated.....we just need for our mgt to go out and get those needed guys....both on the O and D lines. Draft halfway decent and overspend to get quality free agents to Buffalo if necessary

Who would I have taken over Roscoe without picking a lineman??? this should be easy.

61 San Diego Jackson, Vincent WR 6-5 241 Northern Colorado

83 Cincinnati Henry, Chris WR 6-4 197 West Virginia

Why? Because we didn't need another speedy receiver under 6 feet tall. What this passing attack needs other than a line to block for it is the one tall receiver who can go up and get balls. I really liked Vincent Jackson as the darkhorse coming out of that draft at WR. Size and speed with pretty good hands...unfortunately he hasnt done much this season in SD.

Chris Henry was another one I liked...the only issue I had with him was the fact he's a poor man's Randy Moss...all the attitude with all the potential and about 80% of the proven skill. He's played well this year in Cincy and worked himself into a solid 3 spot, but recent drug charges are going to put damper on his season.

I really can't understand why TD thought it was necessary to pick another small quick WR to play KR with our first pick in the draft...McGee went to the pro bowl as a returner and Jonathan Smith and Clements could have handled punt returns this year, or we could have waited til later and grabbed someone who could have been a returner if we needed to spend a draft pick on that position.

EDIT: I dont agree that this was TD's dumbest pick though...

Parish was the dumbest pick?  What about Porcelain Rob, and Mcgahee?  Losman is still an unknown, but the two aforementioned flops outrate Parish.

537850[/snapback]

McGahee was a flop??? I agree we could have probably waited a round or 2 to pick him, but he's definately not been a flop...What was a flop was our lack of an offense this year and putting the entire burden of moving the football this year on a QB who hadn't started yet in the NFL...thats a flop.

Rob wasnt necessarily a pick but if you want to look at it as taking Rob Johnson as a firstround pick, then yes, that isnt just a flop...that is red bellied flop off the highdive into a shallow pool...which we should do to TD before he leaves town.

Worst pick I can see on TD Kool Aid Regime is Ben Sobieski...granted he was a 5rd pick but the kid hasnt ever seen the field (that I can recall), and probably never will

Elton Brown GUARD UVA Fourth Rd Arizona Cardinals.

I screamed then and I'll scream again, big mistake not taking this guy.

Septemebr, projected top half first rd.

Dec. Rated lower first, top 2nd

Post Combine Third Rd

Picked in fourth because of weak workout times.

Another classic example of drafting combine results more than game results

Starter for Cardinals since opening day.

Now, I watch zero Cardinals games so I am not sure how hes performing, but sure no I would rather have him than Roscoe right now.

From what was said on draft day, the Raiders were going to take him at the end of the first round. Besides, who else would we have taken? Everyone wanted Kelsay at the time. Guess what? We got him too.

This thread now has TD resposnible for picking up RJ? Ummm, TD wasn't here then, was he? Didn't we get RJ in '98 or so?

I don't like Parrish either....he seems to go down against a stiff wind. I'll give him another year to make up my mind. He was doing outstanding in training camp so there is still hope. He's just so darn small....hell, a kicker kicked his ass!

I was very excited about Everett...I can't wait to see him next year.

Early morning brainfart...but I still stand by throwing TD off the high dive before he leave

Dont remember the Raiders interest in McGahee...and I'm definately not complaining that we got him...just wish TH and WM could have existed in the same backfield
