Simon
Today I was thinking about how the Republicans actions parallel those of Emperor Hirohito and how their rationalizations are made to justify any action by the United States. The main similarites of this comparison are: 1) Initiate "pre-emptive" strike on dangerous enemy who has "our" natural resources. 2) Gain public support by subverting truth while disseminating self-serving propoganda. 3) Repeatedly use empty rhetoric of higher power to justify everything they do. Sound familiar???

Crap Throwing Monkey
Heh, you're right. I thought "Because he is a religious man and says "God Bless America" he is using god to justify the war?" was particularly brilliant, in that he himself introduces by implication the premise that Bush's religion is nothing but empty rhetoric to somehow disprove the idea that Bush uses empty rhetoric. He apparently doesn't know how to spell "you're" properly either 537725[/snapback] No...but we're used to that.

These were tactics Hirohito used. I can name numerous instances where the republicans have done just these things. In fact you just did.

Simon
Ohhhhhhh, now I see. I didn't realize you meant unique to the board. So to be unique, all I need to do is put up a couple thousand posts defending the same political party over and over and over again, and attacking the "opposing" political party over and over and over again. And I need to do this regardless of the issues involved, the circumstnaces at hand or any facts presented. Yes I can see where that is very unique and would then give me the right to question somebody else's contributions as lacking in creativity. I shall endeavour to do my best, but I'm not quite sure I possess the requisite smal, errrr single-mindedness to always take the same position no matter what. Perhaps you could give me some pointers so that I too can be "unique"?
