We arent chasiong Moulds out the door, his cap number is. I'd love to have him stay around. But i see no way we can carry an 11 mil cap hit at WR and still improve this team significantly enough where it needs it.

Champ was playing both...

Which again points out the ludicrousness of the term "#1 WR" - a position which simply doesn't exist for most teams in the NFL.

Who's Champ Bailey?

Remarkably, the Bailey family has three football playing brothers. Champ Bailey, Boss Bailey (both their real names, btw) and RONALD! I thought perhaps they'd name him King or Hercules or something, but Ronald?!

If Boss Bailey was healthier, I think he'd make a great NFL linebacker. He just gets banged up a lot. Maybe he needs better conditioning, which is hard for me to believe, because he's always been such an excellent athlete.

Moulds cap figure for 2006 is 10.8 Mil.  The issue concerning his level of play is moot. Cut him and see how popular he is in Free Agency.

I'd welcome him back at a drastic reduction in pay. We need far too many upgrades to justify large contracts like Moulds and Mike Williams.

I'd bet you're absolutely right- measure the ever-inconsistent Mr. Moulds by what the balance of the league's GMs think about his value once he's released this off-season. If he gets a contract for half of what he's scheduled to receive under his current contract I'll be among the "surprised".

Yeah, he still may turn out to be pretty damn good. I like him, too.

Oh, I did. And I know you were messing with me. I was responding to Buffalo Denny.  :(

Hey, I still owe you for Duff's. I haven't forgotten.

At the beginning of every season I expect my team to do well, I don't care that team X won the Super Bowl the year before .... I don't care team Y won the division last year ....... I don't care that teams a, b, c, d, and E had much better records last year ...... I ask the players on the Bills to win ..... I expect the players on the Bills to win. No excuses, just win.

Now to the Moulds situation ....... IMHO ..... the Buffalo Bills are a worse team without Eric Moulds than they are with him.

So I want to go on record that I want him on the team next year. I don't care what his contract status is, I don't care what his cap number is, I don't care if his feelings were hurt this year, I just want him on the team. I expect the front office to make it happen, if they have to negotiate, plead, beg, "cook the cap books", I expect as much effort from them as I expect from the players.

I forget what end of the year game it was...the one (s?) that Flootsie and Antoine Smith had big numbers.

In home remodeling, it's a good idea to shore up the structure before you remove load-bearing timbers. :(

Over the last few months, some fans on TBD have been pretty vocal in their contempt for Eric Moulds - and have seemed all too eager and gleeful about the prospects of cutting Eric Moulds in the offseason.

9 catches for 110 yards later, I guess that Moulds showed that he can still play this game.  And I'd also point out that Moulds is three years younger than Rod Smith - who can apparently still play a pretty good game himself.

I bet they resurface next week when he puts up his 3 catches for 19 yards. They're so fickle, they only show up after the 10-12 games where he does jack sh*t.

:(

Speaking of which, where are the Bledsoe bashers?
