Rico Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 I know Chris V was hurt for part of the game BUT these past 2 weeks, IF you've got the #2-rated OG in football and the #4 pick overall at RT, you should be able to consistently get positive yardage running to the right. But it seems to me, just like last year, our best running plays are to the left side of the line. Anyone??? BTW, mad props to MM for goin for it on 4th-and-1, too bad it didn't work out.
EndZoneCrew Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Because Mike williams is an overated fat piece of stevestojan!

I didn't know we have the #2 - rated OG in football...
YOOOOOO Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Stroud, Henderson, Washington, Sapp could be a reason...... If we still cant run against the Pats then there is a major problem....Kinda of sick of seeing Henry get hit in the backfield every other run play....
Rico Posted September 20, 2004 Author Posted September 20, 2004 I didn't know we have the #2 - rated OG in football... Some pre-season rag had him at #2... but I think he's falling fast. Stroud, Henderson, Washington, Sapp could be a reason...... What about Paul Spicer & Tyler Brayton?
Rubes Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 I don't know, my impression (particularly after the JAX game) is that we had much better success running the ball to the right than to the left. Problem is, the coaches kept calling runs left, and I couldn't figure out why. Against OAK, I didn't see any particular success right or left. I will say this: if this team could ever figure out how to finish off a drive with a TD, this could be a very formidable team. They do seem to have the ability to wear down defenses with that running game in the second half. Problem, of course, is that that's a HUGE if.
