Puhonix Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I know it goes against everything you feel, and everything you are, but how great would it be to see the Pats miss the playoffs? With a Miami win over NYJ and a NE loss to the Bucs, the Pats are still out of the playoffs. The following week brings the Fins to NE to take on the Pats. That win could bring them even in the standings. As unlikely as it seemed at the start of the season, Miami has a shot to make the playoffs. But better, they can keep the Patriots out. The fins are not as bad as everyone thinks they are. They have their weaknesses, and mostly do not put together a full game. But when they do, lookout. Take the Chargers for instance. What a win! So, please, I'm not asking you to cheer for the Fins, as much as I'm asking you to cheer against the Pats.
drnykterstein Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Yeah I hear you. I wouldn't complain about the fins winning out over the pats. However as long as the pats get knocked out in the first round of the playoffs, I don't care either way.
nick in* england Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 But that would mean the fins are in at the expense of the Pats.... However. No. I would need LOTS of hard drugs before I rooted for the Fins.

TheMadCap Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I will be cheering for an asteroid to fall out of the sky, strike the stadium and annihilate both teams...
FanfromAlbany Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I will be cheering for an asteroid to fall out of the sky, strike the stadium and annihilate both teams... 534084 Amen!
Puhonix Posted December 16, 2005 Author Posted December 16, 2005 I will be cheering for an asteroid to fall out of the sky, strike the stadium and annihilate both teams... 534084 Teddy Bruschi would never let that happen.
KD in CA Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I will be cheering for an asteroid to fall out of the sky, strike the stadium and annihilate both teams... 534084 If that happens, the Jets will win the division!
Buftex Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I hate the Dolphins....the Patriots, uh... not so much...
FanfromAlbany Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Teddy Bruschi would never let that happen. 534086 ...but if the asteroid was made of kryptonite
Puhonix Posted December 16, 2005 Author Posted December 16, 2005 ...but if the asteroid was made of kryptonite 534091 Dont let ESPN hear you doubting the wonder of Teddy Bruschi. They'll say bad things about you, then send Stuart Scott to your house, where Drew Rosenhaus will cut him off at the door and repeatedly bark "Next Question."
KnightRider Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 You know, I was going to say the simple "Go Pats!" <shudder> but then I thought, wouldn't it be kind of cool to see the Dolphins win the division, and get a chance to play an undefeated Colts team, at which point the Dolphins could then pretend like they were playing Jacksonville in the playoffs. Now that would be fun to see! Nope, too unlikely. Even though I live in New England, home of the fair weather fan, my loyalties to the team I dislike most shall never waver. Go Patsies!
William The Conqueror Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Haters, every single one of you. It's sad to see that some members of this site have sold their souls and will be pulling for the Dolphins. Somewhere, a single tear runs down Jim Kelly's cheek.
Beerball Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I will be cheering for an asteroid to fall out of the sky, strike the stadium and annihilate both teams... 534084 Exactamundo!
BillsFanNC Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 No. I will not root for either of these teams. The only scenario that would find me rooting for any AFC East rival is if it would help the Bills. Since the Bills are beyond a lost cause I'll root for the asteroid.

Alaska Darin Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I'll root for Miami when they figure out how to get them AND the Devil in the same stadium.
Ramius Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I'll root for Miami when they figure out how to get them AND the Devil in the same stadium. 534471 Wasnt TD in the stadium for both Miami games this year?
Alaska Darin Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Wasnt TD in the stadium for both Miami games this year? 534472 I knew I should've added caveats to that statement (TD, JJ, etc).
dogbyte Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Look we knew about NE being good and we thought we would be also. If the Dolfins win and go to the playoffs that would mean that the Bills have realy sunk to a new low. Next year all the sports shows would be talking about the Fins turn around, coaching and players. How the Pats injuries realy hurt them and how bad the Bills where.
