Billzfan23 Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 The only truly good thing that Indy's success brings is that it is getting the national media's head out of Tom Brady and the rest of the Patriot's a*s*s*e*s. I would love to see Indy go 16-0 and win the Superbowl, with Manning as the MVP not only because I think they have the best team right now but because it will overshadow and dwarf the Pats success over the past few years. The Media will have a new "darling" to make over, and I might finally get some peace being a Bills fan living near Boston.
duey Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Don't count on it. Did you see who was just named SI's Sportsman of the Year?

Watching him in the flesh the other day was impressive. No matter how bad we were - he made us look worse... And he's all the better having come from nowhere to stardom - it's the American Dream right??

Ever. That, my friend, is a platinum lining.

Tortured Soul Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 And he's all the better having come from nowhere to stardom 534013 The winningest college of all-time. Go Blue!
duey Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I can't begrudge him the press he gets because the deserves it. It's the peripheral Patsy press that makes me ill (see Bruschi coverage).

thisiskeith12 Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 there should be a rule where you can't be on the cover twice in a 2 month period.
Dawgg Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Brady has earned it. He's one of the all-time greats at the age of 27. Put your homer feelings aside and appreciate an athlete who beat the odds as a late round draft pick to become the posterboy for the NFL. That's what makes this country so great. Underdogs truly can shine. The only truly good thing that Indy's success brings is that it is getting the national media's head out of Tom Brady and the rest of the Patriot's a*s*s*e*s. Sound_n_Fury Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 The least you could do is give brady a towel to dry off with after you're done ball-washing him... 534200 Brady's the best. Deal with it.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Pats fans will be besides themselves if/when the Colts win the SB. Then all the talk will be about how Manning is the best QB of this generation and one of the greatest of all-time.
Dawgg Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Nah, no towel needed. I'll just the cup you're using to drink the kool-aid from OBD. Welcome to reality. Brady is a top 2 QB. The least you could do is give brady a towel to dry off with after you're done ball-washing him... 534200
Dawgg Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Some people here just... can't. Deal with it. 534210
Ramius Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Nah, no towel needed. I'll just the cup you're using to drink the kool-aid from OBD. So OBD is saying Brady is the best QB ever? When was this? Welcome to reality. Brady is a top 2 QB. 534238
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Don't count on it. Did you see who was just named SI's Sportsman of the Year? 533910 If it was anyone other than Tedy Bruschi, it's a crime. Bruschi is so underappreciated.
Dawgg Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 This is almost comical. http://www.nfl.com/stats/leaders/NFL/PYDS/2005/regular Yeah! Brady sucks!!!!!!!!!!! JP Rulez!!!!!!!!!! 534242
