WVUFootball29 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Does that make the Bills "bastards", or something like that? 533610 No, TD has done a good job of that

Guest BackInDaDay Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Ralph was also a minority owner in the Raiders. He had a thing for silver I guess. 533617 Nah, he was just bailing out their franchise before they brought the whole league down.
Guest BackInDaDay Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Does that make the Bills "bastards", or something like that? 533610 No just an extraordinary opportunity to own a professional football team.

Cookie Gilchrist Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Ralph was also a minority owner in the Raiders. He had a thing for silver I guess. 533617 That explains the Lamonica for Flores trade.
BuffaloBud Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Doesn't the padding in the helmet look a little "modern" considering the era of the helmet. Methinks that this is not "original".

Methinks that this is not "original". 533825 You're right about the pads, but almost all the new ones I've seen (Ridell and Evolution) have an inflatable bladder at the top. They have a small nipple (like a football) on the very top that accepts the pump needle. I don't see that on the pictures. It could be an original that had it's insides renovated. Or it could be a 20 year-old helmet that's been spray painted silver.
dib Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 OK so this is a lamp. Ask me if I care. Funny you should ask. No. I have the complete Pizza Hut mug set with the history of the Bills helmets (including that damn ugly silver one.)
Buckeye Eric Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Knowing you guys, this has probably appeared before but for those who have never seen these helmets, well, prepare yourselves... http://hometown.aol.com/bkbubco/60-Buf.html 533204 I concur with some others. It looks like it has never been seen any game action and looks in pristine shape for being 45 years old.
