dave mcbride Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 he's getting great reviews in chicago this year. the point is, he was a great, longtime buffalo mainstay. why is he gone?

He did it for a year, but then he wanted to get back to doing what he loved (S & C) so he went to Chicago.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 It appeared that Mularky wanted to bring in his own guy. Was a little surpising though that it happened to a guy with the reputation that Jones had??
HurlyBurly51 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 he's getting great reviews in chicago this year. the point is, he was a great, longtime buffalo mainstay. why is he gone? 533175 Because MM wanted "his" guy in here. He brought in his buddy and gave Rusty a largely ceremonial title which was administrative in nature, and Rusty wanted to be more hands on so after one year he announced his intentions so seek employment elsewhere, and was basically told don't let the door hit ya....

Peter Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Wow, a guy spends his entire career with the Bills only to be pushed out by a first year coach. 533186 After MM is asked to leave, we can all say: "what goes around comes around."
HurlyBurly51 Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Wow, a guy spends his entire career with the Bills only to be pushed out by a first year coach. 533186 Sounds vaguely familiar....Moulds?

bartshan-83 Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I think Mularkey made the right choice. Look at how well our team performs in the 4th quarter. That's conditioning baby....
Rubes Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Someone should ask MM this on "Ask Mike Mularkey." I'd like to hear his spin on this one.
Nanker Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I think Mularkey made the right choice. Look at how well our team performs in the 4th quarter. That's conditioning baby.... 533705 His awesome conditioning program has really reduced the serious injuries too. Maybe Mularkey just wanted to put his own stamp on the team so there would be no doubt that the end product was all his. Well, like they say - be careful what you wish for...
LabattBlue Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 The good news is that Chuck Lester survived yet another coaching change!
Buckeye Eric Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Wow, a guy spends his entire career with the Bills only to be pushed out by a first year coach. 533186 A guy spends 30 years at GM and has his health care benefits taken away. Loyalty doesn't means anymore folks. That's life.
