VABills Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Not injured, results on MRi/xray negative, but Holcomb starting. Hurray our 1st year starting QB has learned to be a quitter too.

Hurray our 1st year starting QB has learned to be a quitter too. 532330 Fantastic. Now with noodle arm back there, we'll actually have to sustain?!? a drive to score points. Hello shutout. But you losman haters will be happy because holcomb will rack up his usual 20-25 for 110 yards and a 100 rating whatever that means. Or more likely he'll get killed before the first half ends and JP will be back in.

Hurray our 1st year starting QB has learned to be a quitter too. 532330 Does V-coach say he is not playing the rest of the season, or just not this week? Are you jumping to conclusions?

Peter Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Ralph Wilson announced that Losman has been suspended for the game because he has not practiced and will not be ready to play.
Rico Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 How is JP a quitter? This reeks of TD and MM trying to save their jobs. 532345 Exactly. Last-ditch effort to win the final home game.
Ramius Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 (edited) The v-coach alert said: 1. Losman did not practice today 2. MRI results on his shoulder were negative 3. Kelly Holcomb will start against the Dever Broncos this saturday To me, this screams "lets try to win our last 3 and finish 7-9 so we keep our jobs" by Tom Dumbass and Moron Mularkey Edited December 14, 2005 by Ramius
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Exactly. Last-ditch effort to win the final home game. 532358 There could be a bright side to this: If this is true and it fails horribly, the impetus to get rid of the asshats running the show will probably be too much for Ralph to ignore.

X. Benedict Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 This is crazy, JP didn't get to be a bad NFL quarterback this early in his career by quiting. It sounds out of character.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Uh, why isn't it just a matter of JP's arm being sore, the X-rays being negative for anything serious, and him sitting out the game? From the sounds of it, he suffered the injury in the 1st quarter and it affected his play.
Buftex Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Fantastic. Now with noodle arm back there, we'll actually have to sustain?!? a drive to score points. Hello shutout. Or more likely he'll get killed before the first half ends and JP will be back in. 532339 I don't think anyone was a "JP hater", not like JP fan-boys are "Holcomb haters". There was some of us who hated the way JP played the first four weeks. Isn't it possible that Losman is just banged up, and the coaches don't see the point of playing him, to make his condition worse, in a meningless game? He was limping pretty badly at the end of the Miami game, and looked to be a little sore against New England...does everything have to be a conspiracy or a "if you like this guy, you have to hate the other guy" situation? Holcomb is the #2 QB, and he is playing, because the #1 guy is injured...
Bear Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 There could be a bright side to this: If this is true and it fails horribly, the impetus to get rid of the asshats running the show will probably be too much for Ralph to ignore. 532362 We don't know the whole story. MRI negative doesn't mean he is healthy enough to play, it just means there is no serious damage. IF he is healthy enough to play, it doesn't matter if we win or lose, it's a stupid move. There is nothing good that comes from starting Holcomb over Losman. Not to mention that Holcomb is going to get killed. The Denver D is FAST, and they will be coming full throtle all day. Coming off of a concusion, that isn't good news for Kelly.
