It was dead-on accurate, as I have already demonstrated: you said it was a manner in which Israel could hurt Iran in connection with their nuclear program, through virture of the fact that we are discussing Iran's nuclear program. From this, and your further arguments, I can only deduce that you simply don't understand the discussion. I think this is actually likely at this point, given your bull sh-- analogy previously, and the fact that you can't even see that the analogy makes no sense and is not the least bit applicable to the discussion. (As person that did pursue a Phd, sucessfully, I can't begin to tell you how many times I have heard that from people that couldn't hack it), a guy that has stated how smart he is because he has been published in some sort of peer review journal, a guy who spends most of his keystrokes telling everybody how smart he thinks he is. Its simple economics, if ME oil goes up, so does the price of non-ME oil. Limited supply + unlimited demand = higher prices. A ME embargo means even more limited supply + unlimited demand = even higher prices. Certainly, no on wants to see a nuclear armed state run by whackos whether they be muslim nutcases or some other breed. The thing is though, we can't stop other states from becoming nuclear states. The hope and the strategy is the same as it was in the cold war, no matter how looney some such nation might be, it is still pretty unlikely they would initiate a nuclear exchange that would end up in the complete obliteration of themselves, their nation and their culture. That is why you don't see Bin Laden strapping on a backpack bomb. It is one thing to convert 1 out of every 1,000 recruits into suicide bombers, quite another to forfeit your entire nation, all its people, its past and its future for no reason other than to hurt your enemy. If our leaders think this is the act of someone who doesn't give a damn we are in a lot worse a situation than even I thought we were in. They give a damn about jihad..that's for dam sure. Theirfollowers give a damn about a lot of things, national autonomy, economic influence, self-determination. They do give a damn about going after the folks they perceive as their enemy...who happens to be us. Iraqi "insurgents" generally give a damn about a whole bunch of things. Some revenge, some occupation, some religion, and some about bettering themselves (not necessarily with us). If I were say ohhh...Chinese... and I saw you take out an entire race of people I think I'd be a little more than nervous..and I have a few billion people and a poopload of real wmds at my disposal. 3) wipe them out strategies haven't been terribly effective (see Exodus, Armenia, Holocaust, Rwanda, the Killing Fields) Grab your crayons and go back to the drawing board.
