JoeF Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 1) We are in good cap shape even with potential dead money from Adams, Williams, Moulds, there is still room to spend. 2) We have an owner who is willing to spend... 3) We have a passionate fan base and a relatively easy media market...say what you want about Jerry Sullivan, but the media in WNY is nothing like NY, Philly, etc. 4) You have the chance to be a hero--we are at rock bottom...can you imagine the attention this team would garner if it became super bowl quality again... 5) We have great facilities--practice building is top notch, stadium is super nice after the redo 6) 4 picks in the top 75 (or so it appears) in the draft.. Sure there are some challenges--but there is basically only upside for either an experienced crew looking to resurrect their reputation or an up and coming coach and staff looking for a good situation...this isn't 2000 with no flexibility and having to put guys like Brandon Spoon on the field in desperation because there was no money...this is a team with obvious flaws that can be corrected in a division where the other 3 teams have little or no cap flexibility.... As bad as it may seem right now--the candidate pool for both the GM and the Head Coach job will be deep.
