-- Bills Eyeing DePaul? --

Thu Dec 8, 2005 --from FFMastermind.com

The Chicago Tribune reports Bobby DePaul, the Bears' director of pro personnel, is being mentioned as a possible candidate for the general manager's job if Buffalo fires GM Tom Donahoe. DePaul has been one of the chief architects on GM Jerry Angelo's staff. No team has asked permission to talk to DePaul. "When you get good people, you don't want them to leave," Angelo said. "But there's the other side of things and he is certainly deserving of a shot." DePaul has coached with Richie Petitbon on Joe Gibbs' staff in Washington and worked in Philadelphia when the Eagles went to four straight NFC championship games. "There have been some things that have come up [in the past]," Angelo said. "He has done such a tremendous job for us. It's not surprising."

In the Information over-load age that we live in, it is hilarious and disturbing at the same time how one outlet (Florio no less) writes something that is probably out of thin air and other outlets immediately run with it and start reporting it as well. It is getting to the point where despite their 'freedom of the press' cries, the media needs a regulatory watchdog. The current state of affairs mass produces stupidity in the population.

i only posted it because i thought Eric Moulds was getting too much attention on the board today.....and i wanted to try and level the playing field between the, "Fire TD and MM posts", and the "Eric Moulds for Sainthood" posts.

I'd like to see them bring in Depaul to take over for Tom Modrak and in a year or two promote him to TD position
